Chapter 092

Myra's point of view

I didn't know where I'll find Lucas but I know the two places to begin my search. It was his office and his chamber, so I decided to check out his office first.

Wasn't it even absurd? We're mated, yet share no mystical connection, no special bond, nothing at all. It definitely wasn't weird to him, but it should have been to me.

Salome might have always suspected him, but she too warmed up to him when we first met him. She nearly went into heat even at the sight of him valuing us and protecting us.

We really had thought he was our happy ending, big jokes on us.

Unlike Lucas, I was able locate Logan at the shift of my nose. His scent was strong and magnetic. That's how your mate should scent.

However, with Lucas I can't even remember what he scented like when I first met him.

I use to think it's because he hasn't marked me yet, but now I know better. I was never his, he was never mine, he wasn't the savior I thought he was neither was he my knight. He was nothing but a greedy bastard who is about to meet his end.

I got to the office and didn't bother to knock, instead I barged right in. Fortunately, I met him.

He was on a phone call, but my entrance must have wavered his attention over to me. Those pesky orbs of his fell on me, onyx and a perfect picture of darkness.

Happiness creeped softly into his features, followed by a smile as he dropped his phone and came over to where I stood.

Am I mad or I did really notice the emotions flashing through his eyes as he got to me and pulled me into his warm embrace. "I thought I lost you," he said, his voice mirrored his emotions.

He pulled away before I could push him away, and the happiness expressed on his face faded when he took notice of my indifferent look at him.

"You killed me," I brought to his notice Incase he forgot, unfazed by his pathetic display of regret and affection.

"It was a mistake, I didn't mean to, you should know I would never try to hurt you, talk-less of a whole murder. I swear to you that it wasn't intentional, you have no idea how haunted I've been for the past few days. I was actively trying to bring you back, you weren't going to die. I swear!" He gripped my palms to fold together with his as he stared at me with so much emotions, ranging from pain to regret to sadness, it was almost believable.

"You also killed Logan. You lied to me, you're lying to me."

He didn't respond to what I said and instead sniffed the air around me. "I can scent that bastard all over you," he spoke in observation, as a new look settled over his face.

"Where were you? At his grave to dig him out for a proper goodbye?" He questioned with a darkened eyes, his grip on my palms tightening.

"What are you talking about?" He ignored and sniffed the air once again.

"You're no longer bound." His face tilted with a smile, a creepy one. "Tell me Mon Diamant, do you feel special?" The darkness in his eyes worn out and was replaced by an eerie light instead.

"Let me go of me, I need to go." His aura had shrunk below danger, a glaring threat to my peace. Yet his hold remained firm on my hand, he wasn't letting go, even after I've requested.

"I've missed you, Mon Diamant. Can we move on, and forget about the past?" He finally let go of one of my palms as he brought his hand up to my face.

I moved back but his hand just stretched and rubbed gently on my cheek, down to my neck where he made his touch sensual.

"No!" I drew from my strength as I yanked my palm out of his hold and push him away from me.

"No?" He repeated, as his voice grew hoarse and dark toned.

"You're lying to me, you're a liar, and a lot of other things too. An awful lot of other things." My eyes glistened as the thought of him behind the murder of my parents popped into my mind.

"Myra, what are you saying or talking about you?" His brows furrowed suspiciously.

"I know everything now. I know you killed my parents, and behind the hellish life I've always had to deal with." I sounded calm, but I was raging inside.

I had no idea how my fury was under control, or how I'm still rational. I should have slash him out by now, give him a little decoration with my claws, and let him in on just how furious I am at him.

"Then how did you know this? What else do you know?" His gaze was inspective, as if scrutinizing my entirety, from my fronts to my insides, to observe me like a subject for an examination.

He moved a step, closer to me and out of the spot he's rooted in after I pushed him away.

"Stay back, don't you dare come any closer. You're a monster, and I want you to own up to it," I demanded boldly, either adrenaline fueled my courage or there was just too much rage inside of me.

"Myra you're mine, let go of the past, there's a beautiful future ahead of us. I'm not letting you go, we're not over and this is not the end of us. You need to calm down and talk to me, where did you learn all of this," he reasoned softly, like all I've pitched were accusations against him, ones he's not guilty of.

"Where I found out from doesn't matter, what matters is that I know. And you're not denying, so that pretty much tells me what and who to believe."

"Mon Diamant, do not mess up our beautiful relationship. It's what you've always wanted, a man to love and care for you genuinely, I am that man."

"Yet you murdered me like a strayed ant," I scoffed and countered perfectly.

"It was a mistake, and your fault. What were you doing down there? Shouldn't you have remain in the room where I put you? Did you really have to come watch your ex die? And shouldn't you be thanking me even that I got rid of the bastard, he was clearly obsessed with you and won't accept the fact that you're no longer his."

I scoffed again. Yeah I've had enough of this bastard.

'Warp him into an animal because he's honestly one of them. Make him a fish so he'd die before he could get his new life started,' Salome concurred with my suggestion.

"Any last words, because I just think you're no longer supernatural, you're a powerless fish," I vocalized my will.

To my surprise, he retained his human figure, his gaze grew more suspicion and doubts.

"Do you intend to kill me?" He slowly approached me.

My ability did not work on him. The fuck. I'm fucked.

I turn around to dash out, but he was right in front of me before I could make a move. His gaze cold and lifeless, the monster inside of him now out in the surface.

"Do you intend to kill me?" He recapped, as fear struck me down.
