Chapter 099

Lucas's point of view

So that bastard is still alive. Not below the earth's ground like I assumed he would be, instead he's still breathing and somewhere around my mate.

'You've killed your mate, and that girl you're desperately after is not your mate. But just in case you've yet to deduce, I'd be honored to let you know that the universe is working against you, why? Because who you thought is killed and buried few feet under ground is alive and well, plotting to be smarter with you this time, and possibly defeat you,' my wolf scorned at me, glad at the sudden hit at my plans.

I'd name him my greatest enemy if Logan Blackwood had stayed dead.

"You should be grateful that you're the only thing that keeps me connected with the moon, and that I need that connection. If not, I would have save your hatred a peaceful ending and cut us off from each other," I said back to him before I sent him back to his cage, far off at the back of my mind.

I need to think about my next step now. I never expected that Logan would survive, how did he survive? I was sure of his death before I left that dungeon.

My steps retracted as I backed down into my seat. The strange lady who has come to strike an alliance remained in the room, studying me as I took the reality of her words in.

I looked up at her, where she stood with a smug smile and a lowered gaze at me. "What do you want?" I sought out her agenda.

"Logan is suppose to be my mate, not fated, but become my chosen mate," she narrated as she began walking close to my desk. "I mean I met my fated mate and rejected him just so nothing can stop me and Logan from ending up together. Now imagine the shock and anger put into me when I came home to find out that Myra is Logan's mate, and that the hatred Logan has for her was not as genuine as I thought. He wanted Myra, not me. He should have been happy that Myra got mated to you, and was out of our lives. Instead he wanted to bring her back, and he'll try every possible means to achieve that goal. I don't want that, and I'm sure neither do you. Or do you?" Her brows raised at me.

"Dumb questions tests my patience," I gave her a warning.

"I want Myra, you want Logan. I can help you get Myra, you can help me get Logan. It's a win win for the both of us. I know for a fact that if Myra is out of our lives for good this time, Logan would look at me and make me his choice. That's just all I want."

There was passion in her eyes while she spoke, a certain kind that tells her agenda wasn't nurtured in wickedness. She's doing this for love.

"I'm suppose to kill Logan. But you want me to spare him for you?" I need her to give me one reason why I should give a fuck about her passionate love or interest for Logan when he's an absolute knot in my plans.

"I know it's a ridiculous request. But I can assure you that I'm capable of keeping him away from you after you've gotten Myra, I can promise you that he'll no longer be a problem. I beg of you to give me a chance, please," her eyes held emotions, nearly spilling into tears as she anticipated my agreement to her request.

However, there is no way I'm ever going to let Logan live. But she doesn't have to know that, especially when she's offering a help that might take a while to get from others.

She can lead me to Logan and Myra, where I'll take Myra for myself and kill Logan once and for all. And this time, I make sure he stays dead.

"Fine, I'll spare him. Now where are they hiding? Take me to them?" I got up on my feet, there's no time to waste. The Blue moon rise is upon us, and everything has to be ready and intact when it hits the sky.

"I have a plan actually, you wouldn't mind me walking through it would you?"

I released a small sigh as I sank back into my seat, "Indulge me?"

"Before I came here, Logan wanted me to work against you. You see there's this interesting thing about my powers when in use. When I shape-shift into anyone, I'm allowed a total access into whoever's life I have chosen to lend or steal. Just like when I shifted into your sister, I knew all about her past, secrets, and how she even died,"

My gaze grew bored, meaning her talks was starting to bore me and get less interesting.

"To shape-shift into someone, I have to touch that person, then I will be able to shift into them and steal their life or identity if I want to. I can mimic their voice, have access to their memories and secrets and all about them. Logan wanted me to touch you, then shift into you so I can find out your weakness that only you know of and no other person. That was why he sent me here, I was to shapeshift into Lisa and find a way to touch you using her face and find that out. Albeit, I already knew of the weakness when I shifted into your sister, today wasn't my first time with her face. I could have told Logan about the weakness, but I didn't because I want to meet with you."

All this yapping and none has yet to rein me in about the plan she has. Or is she doing all this so I'd feel threatened by her? Knowing what my one weakness is, and how special her ability is. It doesn't make me fear her, if anything at all it makes me want her power for myself.

She has a fascinating ability, and thanks to her insight. It's a very useful ability. Now I'll use her to get Myra, then kill Logan, before I absorb her ability and make her kill herself. I just have to exhaust more patience.

"What's your plan?" I quizzed, my tone dry enough to hint at my dislike for her yaps.

"I'm gonna go back to Logan, make them believe that I was successful in our plan. Then the three of us would escape here together, but beforehand, you and I would have linked. So whenever we arrived at wherever we're going to run away from you, I'd send you a signal to come over. Before you arrive, I'd have prepare Myra ready for you. She's naive and doesn't know much of the modern world, I can drug her and make her unconscious for three good days at least. I'll drug her and Logan, then you come over, get her and leave me with Logan. I know how I'm going to deal with him."

A smile touched my lip. That's a brilliant plan.

"That's a masterpiece," I commended. Let's see if the universe can work against that.
