  Chapter 089

   Lucas's point of view

Myra is not dead, but I have her lifeless body incarcerated in her room, spelled and protected. I didn't want her dead, because I never believed she's gone.

And I was right later on. However, what was it I witnessed with her death? I snapped her neck, and could hear as her heart stopped beating.

The heart never drummed back to life, throughout the time I took her to her room, and spent literal hours by her side hoping she'd wake up miraculously.

The whole day passed and she never did, I was forced to believe that she's indeed dead and I have to bring her back to life anyway I can.

That was what brought me to this moment, where I'd just rounded up my meeting with death and got back in my body.

The mage stared at me in anticipation to let him know how it all went, to narrate what happened while he was out. I could read it all on his face.

"So if death doesn't have my mate's soul, then who does? Death claims to me that she isn't dead. So tell me why she is still lifeless in her room?" I quizzed at him as I walked out of the circle.

His brows furrowed, "What are you saying? Your Majesty." He was as confused as me, if not more even.

"Death doesn't have her soul, according to Death she's still very much alive and not dead."

"So does that mean her soul is lost or what?" He pressed further with a squinted gaze.

"No it means that she's alive, just not breathing. Is there any spell or ritual you could perform to jolt her back to life?" I asked, it's been established now that she's not dead and might be in coma.

   Or a limbo.

How is it even possible that someone is alive, but not breathing? Or was this a stunt pulled by the moon goddess to mess with me?

One of these days, I'm gonna have to pay that bitter woman a visit. It's time for her to become a part of Death's subjects. It's time for all the gods and goddesses, I'm gonna go for them all, one by one.

"No actually, but take me to her body and let me retake a spiritual view of her existence. Maybe there was something I missed the last time." He flicked his hand that brought his spell book out of the air and into his hands. "I have a theory. Perhaps she's on a spiritual journey, a path that leaves her existence in a vague," he spoke about it as he flipped through the pages.

"Shall we, Your Majesty." He gestured at me to move.

I nodded at him as I leaped forward into motion and led the way to Myra's room. "A spiritual journey huh?" I wanted him to elaborate on the said theory.

I know Myra is a bound omega, she's a sealed entity, a very special breed. This is how I know the universe is on my side by making her the last of what I need, someone like her to be my side. It's more than perfect, it's stunningly flawless.

"Well yes that's what I think. When she died, maybe her soul went on a spiritual mission instead of straight to the afterlife. She might not be really dead, she might still be on her journey and will eventually come back to life herself."

I hummed in understanding. We arrived at the room and my instincts ran wild when we saw the door wide open and surely kicked to the side.

I ran inside and as expected, Myra was nowhere in sight. She was gone, somewhere has stolen her body from me!

My eyes instantly glowed red as rage dominated my body. "Who took my mate?!" My voice dripped with an unmatched venom as I stared around for clues to pin a suspect.

My eyes landed on the mage who followed me and saw the mess he has become. There's no way it'd be him, he was the one who even requested to come see her body that made me found out that someone has stolen my mate!

And who else if not my insufferable sister! Of course! It's time to deal with her once and for all.

I stormed out of the room and straight to her chamber. It didn't take up to a minute as I took advantage of my speed fueled by rage.

I didn't bother knocking as I went straight into the room, there she was, seated on the floor in a meditative position with her eyes closed and palms twined.

"Kings shouldn't lack manners," she criticized calmly, refusing to leave her state and acknowledge me.

"Give me back the body you took or today will be your last day on earth!" It's only civil I negotiated with her, albeit I have no intention of sparing her after she's returned my asset.

"Get out of my room before I make you regret it!" Her eyes remain closed.

"And what happens when I set the room on fire."

Her eyes flew opened at once and fixed on me. I smirked at the fear that found it way into her scent. I could smell it from this distance.

"Yes, I know. I met up with death, and offered him a better deal than the one you have with him. Voila, I got to know your anchor was this stupid room, that should explain your weird obsession with this room. I thought it has to do with your pathetic emotions, but I was wrong. I even had a witch, a very powerful dark witch on the job and till now she's unable to figure out what the anchor was." I began to walk towards her.

"Now. To have you back down where you belong, all I have to do is destroy this little space. Interesting isn't it?" I got to her and spoke directly into her face, "But that doesn't have to happen if you just tell me where my mate's body is, and what you planned to do with her?"

   "Spill!" I urged.

She shifted out of my gaze and up on her feet. "I don't know what you're talking about."

My head tilted as a fireball formed on my palm. "Wrong answer!" I threw the fire straight into the wall by my left.

"I swear Lucius, please don't destroy this room. I didn't steal your mate; stop being cruel. I'm your sister, why are you so wicked?!" She broke into sobs.

If only her thoughts were available to me, if only she isn't like me and has a barrier forged against my psychic reach.

"I'm not wicked. But let's talk about you who died and came back to life to kill me, now that's diabolical. Have fun back in hell," I told her as I brewed flames into my hands and shoot at the room.

Everywhere was quick to fall into fire as I watched my sister fell into her knees and bawled in agony. The sight wasn't just exciting, it was equally relaxing.

May her soul not rest in peace.
