  Chapter 109

   Myra's point of view

Logan wanted sometime to himself to figure out what's next for us to do. Now that Deena has betrayed us, it's up to us to figure out a way to bring down the Alpha King ourselves.

The Blue Moon is around the corner, and he's on the hunt to make sure he has with him all he needs for his ritual. But we've managed to poke a nail through that plan of his.

He doesn't have me, and his daughter. Two of which are important to his course. Without us both, there are no three omegas to proceed with his plan.

Once the moon rolls over, we had to have found a way to defeat the Alpha King then. Know about his weakness and how to use it against him.

He's stronger than a mere wolf, so a silver doesn't do much to him. And wolfsbane is kind of like a tickle to his health, most weaknesses that affects werewolves doesn't do much to him.

While Logan is busy trying to find that weakness out in whatever way he thinks he can. I'm task to get the child we have with us on our team.

We can't keep putting her to sleep over and over again, and now that we're far from her home. She should be ready to listen to me.

This will be hard for her to digest, but she's a smart girl. She'll listen to what I have to say, think about it and it'll then be left to her to decide on her next course of decision.

I entered the room we gave to her, the bed was empty which means she was no longer asleep, but she was nowhere to be seen.

"Uhm." I looked around, fearful of the dread inside the room before I took further steps into the room while I close the door behind me.

My wolf senses suddenly heightened as I jumped out of spot in reaction to whatever was about to land on me from behind.

I glanced back to see the girl I was looking for with a bat in her hand as she launched another attack at me. In reflex, I grabbed hold of her weapon and twisted it out of her grip.

"I'm not your enemy," I told her as I kicked the bat off to the far end of the room.

"Yet I'm kidnapped and stolen away from my home, who are you people? Where's your accomplice?" She questioned as soon as she realized I was alone, and began looking around for skeletons I'm not sure of.

Because if Logan was to be with me, he wouldn't be invisible and rather very much a sight to behold.

"Your home was a danger to you. Can we talk? I promise, we didn't take you to hurt you, we took you because your life was in danger," I said to her as I walked over to her bed to sit on the edge.

"Danger? Puh-lease." She rolled her eyes with a sassy face, "I'm grown enough to know that's a lie, and smart enough to know you people are the danger." She glared at me with her arms folded.

Okay when I first saw her, I did not know or think she would have an attitude.

'You're not the only one shocked. She's sure sassy for a kid that she is,' Even Salome agreed.

"My partner, the other one that's with me can show you the truth, the problem is just that you're like me. You're an omega like me," I paused when I saw the look on her face shifted.

The glare on her face softened and her arms dropped to her sides. She knows something, maybe not much, but something.

"I swear to the goddess, I'm not a danger to you. Your father is," I laid it out flat for her to digest.

"Your father killed your mother because she was going to protect you from him, and then your aunt died because she wanted to save you from him. I promised myself to fulfil your aunt's lifelong goal, which was to save you and keep you alive no matter what," I further explained to her, while she remained rooted to the spot she stood on.

"Daddy told me the world is a dangerous place, that a lot of bad people will be after me because I'm special is why he had to keep me save underground. He also said it was the bad people that killed my mom, he didn't say anything about my aunt. I don't believe you, I believe him, you're one of the bad people right?" The harsh glare she had on returned back to her face as she rested her hands on her waist to form an akimbo pose.

   "Kid-"

"I'm turning eleven, I'm not a kid," she corrected me.

"Eleven and you're what? A grandmother?" I hissed and rolled my eyes at her.

"Look here kid, your father is the big bad guy, not the people he lied to you about. He's going to sacrifice you on the day of the blue moon to become the most powerful man on earth. He needs three omega to do it, he had you, he had me, and still has the third omega with him. I couldn't save her, but I came for you and I got you out. Sure I kidnapped you, stole you away from your cage. But hear me when I say I'm not a danger to you, I did what I did for your safety and your life. Mark my words, you'll thank and owe me the moment this is all over because it is not."

"Now I'll need you to go sit down, think about everything I've said to you, and tell me what you'd like to have for dinner so I can have it prepared and brought to you. Do we have an understanding?" I kept my eyes pinned on her as I stood off her bed.

Her arms went up to fold on her chest. "You look nice but you're not," she remarked, less offensive than she's been since we've met.

"And you should be sweet, but your attitude sings a different song," I said back to her as I walked over to where she stood.

"You know I don't think I'll ever like you, you have a mean look." She squinted her baby face at me.

"When it affects me, I'll be sure to let you know." I flashed her a sarcastic grin before I walked out of her room.

She didn't tell me what she wants for dinner, guess i'd have to make that choice for her. Besides, she doesn't like me. And it doesn't matter, what matters is her safety not her likeness.
