Welcome back<3
Recap: That's all Kacchan reads.. every night... and has been for so long. Like.. I think he's rereading it. But, now knowing what it's about it.. it is kind of cliche.. I feel awkward knowing what the book is about now.
"I apologize, you seem uncomfortable now."
I shrugged, "I now know why Kacchan didn't want me to know, he doesn't seem like the type of person to enjoy a book like that.." I mumbled.
"I suppose" Prince Jun shrugged and began reading a book from his stack.
I laid my head down and closed my eyes as time passed. Dozing off to the silence, the white noise of pages flipping ever so often and soft breaths before I fell asleep.
——
"Get up."
A voice boomed from the entrance of the library. I looked up quickly, Prince Jun expression was entirely neutral. My heart pounded as I looked behind me towards the door, there Kacchan stood. He was scowling as usual, but there was no real heat to it.
I looked back at Prince Jun as he bowed his head closing his book. "Prince Katsuki." His voice was even.
"Said call me Katsuki. Either that or nothing." He grumbled before his eyes landed on me. "Lunch. Let's go."
I nodded and stood haphazardly, I straightened up the table of books as Kacchan left. I looked at Prince Jun as he stood leisurely.
"His way or no way, huh?" He glanced at me, I could tell he was being coy but it didn't land. I smiled uncomfortably before turning my attention away and walking towards Kacchans direction.
3rd Person POV:
Katsuki stood at the end of the dining table waiting for them. The table was set for the three of them. Izuku's plate was next to Katsuki's, while Jun's was placed a few seats away.
Izuku shuffled his feet anxiously at the sight. Uneasy that Prince Jun might feel left out. But Jun's demeanor didn't change. Izuku watched intently as Jun walked over and took his seat, his hands to his chest awaiting to say prayer.
"We don't do that here." Katsuki's voice was loud, stern, the usual scowl as he'd stared at Jun.
"K-Katsuki... maybe.."
"Shut it. And sit." He pulled out Izuku's seat roughly waiting for him. His patience warring with his want to do right by him.
Izuku nodded quickly and made his way over sitting down. "Eat. And you. Do whatever the fuck you're doing." He scowled sitting down roughly, he began to eat.
"I-I could've set the table-" Izuku stuttered anxiously cut off abruptly by Katsuki's curt respond.
"Eat."
Izuku nodded picking at his food taking slow bites, it was delicious. His focus on the vegetables
Prince Jun murmured a prayer before he began eating. After a few minutes he paused looking at Katsuki. "So that book."
"What about it." It was less of a question and more of a confrontation. His voice low, agitated.
"I just wanted to say it's a good book." Jun shrugged and continued eating.
Izuku sat pin straight, tense. His knuckles white gripping his silverware. His eyes screaming hoping the awkwardness will cease.
"Tch. It's a boring book." Katsuki's voice murmured, but something, a hint of, uncertainty in his voice.
Izuku picked up on it looking at him. He took a deep breath and continued to eat.
"Eat your meat. Your skin and fucking bone." Katsuki grumbled almost protectively.
"I think he's fine just the way he is." Jun argued, his posture more confident.
Katsuki scoffs shoving his plate away, stalking off towards the back door that leads to his stair case.
Izuku looks at Jun with wide, surprised eyes. However, Jun seems entirely unaffected, unbothered. He continued his measured pace while eating. After a few of awkward minutes Jun looks up finishing his meal.
