Dagon

In the original Ben 10 series, Dagon is serve as the main antagonist of Ben 10: Ultimate Alien is an entity who try to invade to Earth and the unuverse with an army demon called Lucubra but was stop by Sir George (foundee of the Forever Knights) who used the sword called Ascalon (invented by Azmuth) to banish Dagon to his dimensions and cut out his heart in 1131 AD. This being had taken power from Legerdomain and have two forms, a dragon which was used during his fight with Sir George and a larger form which is a large octopus, he also have been worship by an organization called The Flame Keeper's Circle, even the Anur System worship him. He used Vilgax as his pawn to get the sword back and break the seal which led to a war between the Forever Knights and the Esotericas as he defeated his enemy George but was absorb by Vilgax with the machine Vox Peniculus, but he was defeated by Ben Tennyson who avenge Sir George.

My version of Dagon have the same backstory in my Sonic Expanded Universe except I expanded his backstory. Dagon was originally a lesser God in ancient Mesopotamia as is ruled by the Primordial Goddess Tiamat, the Goddess Ninsun (mother of Gilgamesh), and the married Gods Enlil and Ninlil. She claimed a large chunk of land which later become Canaan as desire Ninlil  as his queen but he was unable as Enlil is stronger and put Dagon in his place. This led Dagon to be desperate as he want to be stronger as he roamed around until he landed a land which later be called Palmyra as he accidentally stumble upon a portal as he founded by a pack of Lucubra who try to feed on him but he killed them as devour them due to them possess some kind of strange demonic energy which is later called Esoteric energy as build this dimensions as his home. Unknown to him, devouring the creatures cause him to able to transform into a larger dragon form which decided to used against his enemy Enlil. The two Mesopotamian gods fight until Dagon revealed his new format he brutally beat Enlil as he ready to kill him but was stop by Ninlil, now as the champion he claimed Ninlil as his queen as he left Enlil with nothing. Eventually Dagon and his queen Ninlil who is renamed Shalash build their new family as they have daughter Hadad, Melqart, Mot, Anat, Asherah, and Astarte & sons Moloch, Resheph, and Shahar.

Dagon due to his power and expanding his domain, he becomes part of The Children of Oberon as he witness The Trial of Eve (Serpentine claimed Eve ate the fruit which was obviously a lye but the gods don't care until Adam save her) and The Accusation of Asura (Asura was accused of killing his pantheon and their creator god, labeled him as the 1st God Killer). Eventually he gain human followers called the Philistines which worship him along with his daughters Hadad, Astarte, and Asherah which Dagon deeply enjoyed. He original want Hadad to take over from him but he must deal with stuff first, he released Ninlil as she is no longer useful to him and can go back with Enlil but she won't take their children with her, he'll mold them into great and powerful gods. Dagon planned a marriage between his daughter Asherah and the sea monster Tannin which in deed is successful which led to them have a child Lotan.

Dagon original thought of his eldest daughter Hadad should take the role as ruler of their pantheon but doesn't see her as worthy as Dagon waiting until the death of the giant Goliath who was killed by David. Dagon along with his daughter Astarte visit Hell to punished Goliath which Lord Beelzebub, Sin of Gluttony meet the goddess which spark a romance between them but did it from Beelzebub's family due to it forbidden for a demon to fall in love with a god, Dagon know this but he accepted this as his daughter finally found love. Dagon eventually told Satan (Beelzebub's older half brother and the King of Hell) that Beelzebub is in a relationship with his daughter Astarte, he want Beelzebub to be part of his family as he see potential while Satan can get rid of him die to him not liking his younger brother being focus on science instead of magic. Beelzebub was banish from Hell by Satan while the rest of their family watch as they sadly can't do anything about this, the plan have been for fill.

Dagon accept and allow Beelzebub to live in Canaanite as he now have a true heir and successor to his thrown but first he have mold him and change him, Dagon is training Beelzebub to be a god. He gave Beelzebub physical training by sparing with him and his biological children as due to the dark prince not a fighter, he eventually learn to use vibration as a weapon, dubbed Dagon dubbed this technique Palmyra. After years of training and successfully defeated Dagon (beat him in his base form, not his full power) and his children, Beelzebub was given the God Fruit by Dagon as token of rising to power, the demon ate it and transform into a God, Dagon renamed him Baal, God of Prosperity & Pestilence along with giving him a Devine Treasure, The Staff of Apomyius, now his true and final training will be next as he now ignore his demon heritage and family as Gods don't have friends, don't cry, and don't ask for help. Now Dagon allow Beelzebub to marry his daughter Astarte.

In the year 230 BC, Dagon along with Beelzebub & Astarte witness the trial of the 2nd God Killer in history to witness what Gods do humans, demigods, and other gods for crossing the line. In the year 1131 AD, Beelzebub and Astarte have their first child, a daughter named Lamia was born, now Dagon have a granddaughter but he won't be there for the celebration as he will leave as he preparing his Lucubra for war within Europe. He plan to finally overthrow Oberon and Titania as he believes he more powerful than them as he leave, he want Beelzebub to remain in their kingdom as he rules. Dagon meet and fought his archnemesis, Sir George who defeated Dagon with Amzuth's Ascalon as he took his heart and hide it.

In the year 2021, The Esoterica, followers and worshippers of Dagon mistook Vilgax as Dagon as the alien impersonate Dagon for his own used until he was contacted by the real Dagon who made him his herald, Vilgax become part of the war between the Forever Knight led by Sir George against Dagon and his Esoterica. Dagon killed George but he was backstab by Vilgax who absorb and drain his power, now he the power of Dagon, Vilgax was defeated by Cinos, took the Ascalon which absorb Vilgax's new power, and give to Vilgax, the energy with Ascalon was released and was given to Azmuth. 2 years later, Dagon have return from the dead as return to his old self as he wanted revenge for what happened, he wants find and fight Cinos for a rematch due to the humiliation of him not killing the artificial creature then if he win, he'll find Vilgax. Sadly Dagon got what he wanted, a fight as he was killed by Cinos but a fly witness everything, Dagon smiled as he knows that his "son" will avenge him as he shattered into a crystal-like appearance and died.

Dagon was the catalyst Cinos Aftermath: Gods & Monsters which led to Cinos facing the Gods, made enemy with not just Beelzebub but also Zeus, Odin, Satan, etc, form the Ice Pigs, and free Asura from imprisonment along with reunited with his daughter Mithra.
