Ellie's POV

Ran is actually a really good teacher. Those few hours were kind of enjoyable, apart from the baby talk every once and awhile. I'm glad I picked her for my tutor.

I'm now back in the park. The barricade has finally broken through and my hammock is restored to it's normal spot. I am sitting against the tree's trunk reading. In english.

Zi zi is jumping around trying to catch bugs in his mouth.

A few joggers are running down the track. That rumor I started stuck for quite a while, but common sense is coming back to a few people and it's been getting a little busier each day as more people return. I don't mind. The rumor was just to keep people away from my house anyways, and now that I've recovered enough to show my face again... meh.

Zi zi pounced on something in the tall grass and pranced back to me proudly with something white in her mouth.

"ZI ZI!! Wear did you get that dove?!?!"

She purred happily.

"No, you do not attack doves!! Other birds are fine, but this one is a pet!!"

He tilted his head, as if to say 'How can you tell?'

He dropped it at my feet and I gently picked it up. It was alive. Could no longer fly, but alive. On its ankle was a small blue band labeled 'Luna'.

"Luna... is that your name?"

The dove looked up at me and quietly cooed.

"You belong to KID, don't you?"

She cooed again.

I looked around trying to spot Kaito. Not seeing him, I turned to the dove again.

"How did you get out here? Did you run away?"

Another soft coo. Idiot. She's a dove, she can't talk.

"Well you can stay with me and Zi zi in the meantime." I glared at Zi zi. "Luna is NOT FOOD. Got it?"

Zi zi rubbed against my leg, purring for forgiveness.

I smiled, then carried the poor dove up the ladder, setting her down on my desk. I grabbed a few random bits of spare cloth, and arranged them best I could into a nest.

Luna looked at it, then rearranged everything before sitting down. Guess I need to work on my nest building skills...

What do doves eat? Seeds? Bugs? Seeds and bugs? I pulled my ipod off the table and loaded up google, climbing down again as I went.

Zi zi sat down in the back of my wagon, ready for a ride, and I didn't bother refusing. It was off to the pet shop.

"Doves are strict vegetarians and exclusively seed eaters, with 99% of their diet seeds. They rarely feed on insects or other items, an unusual practice among birds, who usually eat high-protein foods such as insects, at least while they are young. Doves prefer a wide range of seeds." I read outloud to Zi zi. Why, I don't know, but I did and that was that.

A parked my wagon outside and walked in, with my cat in his second favorite place to ride around : my hood.

While I was picking out a bag for Luna, Zi zi jumped out and ran to the scratching posts. I was still yet to get him one, and his curtain clawing habits are getting on my nerves. Maybe they'll have a cheap one this time?

Nope.

We left the store with 2 bags of seeds, a small bird feeder, some thin rope (to tie around the house so Luna can get to places without flying) and a mouse toy for Zi zi (just incase he wants to attack something).

It took a while to set everything up, and now my desk is occupied so I can't work on it, but oh well. It was all done, Luna seemed happy, and all that was left was some late night anime.

In my hammock, I peeked around the park once more to make sure I'm alone. Looks like it. I pulled out my ipod and Gogoanime began to load.

"What's someone as helpless as you doing out here alone in the dark?" whispered a voice behind me.
