I wake up. I look down and see Calum's head resting in between my breast. I smile and nudge his head. "Hey." I laugh a little when his eyebrows furrow. "Babe, wake up."
He finally raises his head. "Hmm?"
I laugh, kissing his slightly puffy lips. He immediately kisses back. I love morning kisses, his lips are always slightly swollen and soft.
I'm the first to pull away. Calum's head leans forward a little bit and when I don't kiss him again, his eyes flutter open. He frowns.
I smile. "Hey sleeping beauty."
He makes a face. "Hi."
I squish his face with one hand, my hospital bracelet sliding down my arm. "I shall call you squishy and you shall be mine and you shall be my squishy."
He pulls his face away and laughs. "Really?"
I nod. "I saw it on a GIF."
He frowns. "Oh."
I frown. "What?"
"Nothing."
I nod. "Okay, I see how it is." I turn away from him.
He sighs. "Babe....."
"No no. I release you. You are no longer my squishy."
He puts his arms across his chest. "Boo bye." He falls backwards. "Oww."
I laugh. "Are you okay?"
"No." He groans.
I laugh.
He groans again. "Well I feel loved."
"Um, excuse me." I hold up my hand. "If I didn't love you, I wouldn't be wearing this."
He chuckles. "Touché."
"Oh! Ponage!" I flop on my back.
I hear him laugh as he gets up and lays back into his spot, next to me. He plays with my fingers, twisting my engagement ring around.
One of the machines starts beeping rapidly. Both our heads whip towards the moniter. My heart rate is slowing.
Calum's breathing becomes as rapid as the moniters beeping. "I cannot-"
His voice sohnds underwater. As I start drifting, I grip onto his hand.

Nurses and doctors swarm in, pushing me away from her and out the door. My bandmates are right outside.
I bang on the door until Michael and Luke pull me away. I sink to the floor. Normally I would try to compose myself, trying not to look ridiculous, but at this point, I don't care. Tears roll down my cheeks.
"Cal?" Ashton appears next to me.
"I cannot lose her." I choke out."Because if I ever did, I'd have lost my best friend, my soulmate, my smile, my laugh, my everything."
