Dear Diary:
Hi.
It's night time already.
The day flew by pretty quickly.
Well, we didn't do anything interesting during the morning so I'll just cut to the chase.
We went to the opening ceremony, like every year. I usually never pay much attention at them, but this time, I noticed the surprising amount of people from all over the world that were there to presence the moment. It was really... cool.
We got good seats at front (cause that's one of the perks of being a country) so we got to see everything perfectly. The event started, and for the first time, I was sorta excited. It was my first time seeing it. The other years, I just used my phone and watched some YouTube until it was over, because to be honest, it was sorta boring. Something this time made me want to watch it, so I did.
When it began, I just wanted to see my country. Nobody ever told me that so many countries exist in the world. It took five years until my country passed by. I clapped a bit and fell asleep. I woke up ten or twenty minutes later and they were barley half way through.
Another perk of being a country, is that we get to meet the people representing us in the Olympics or any other event. I usually just skipped it, but this time, I was curious. I got to meet them, and they seemed like really great people. Seriously. It's really nice to see people representing your country in front of the whole world.
Besides that, I met a bunch of countries I never knew of, like some of the African and Latin American countries. They all seem like nice guys.
We headed back to the hotel after that. We walked back, I have no idea why, but I don't regret that at all. The streets were full of people celebrating and singing in their language. It seemed like fun. I even felt like joining for a sec. I didn't of course. I could barley walk in a straight line. I was really tired.
The hotel we're staying in is really nice. It's better than the last one. This one has a functioning A/C and curtains. Curtains.
Tomorrow, we're gonna go tour the city with several other countries, so I gotta get some rest. I'm really tired right now. I'm sorry that this entry is a bit short, but nothing good happened, besides the ceremony, of course.
Well, I'm gonna go get some rest. Goodbye.
