Chapter Eighteen

On the 31st of December at around 6 pm, I hear knocking at my door. Ok, I wouldn't downgrade that to knocking. It was more of well learned knocking to the song 'Love is in the air'. Great am I right?
I open the door to Louise and Zoe, mid knock. "Wow guys, that was incredible. I feel honored to've witnessed such performance."
"Oooh someone's in a gooood mood", Zoe sings as she walks into my house.

I'm all ready at 7:30 pm, just in time for my uber to arrive.
"Picture time!", Louise yells.

We snap a lot of pictures together and both of them seem utterly satisfied with my outcome. "Gorgeous! Dan's a lucky lad!", Zoe says.
"Guys, come on now. Friends. And just that.", I tell them.

In the cab, I look at the pictures on my phone. I was actually quite pleased with the way my hair and makeup look. Pretty but not too crazy.
Next to the photos from today are tons of selfies of Dan, Phil and I, pictures of me sleeping that Dan took of me, and a lot of design related stuff.

"We're here.", I get cut off by the driver and take my stuff. "Thank you very much and happy new year", I say as I leave the car. "Happy new year, darling."

I am at Dan and Phil's door at exactly 8 pm and knock on it. Dan, still in his sweats, opens it. "Ello Y/N, happy new years ev- holy shit, holy fucking shit", he looks up and down me, grabs my hand and twirls me. "What?", I laugh at his reaction. "Damn girl, you look fiiine to-night.", he says in a very, very weird voice. We burst into laughter as I walk in. "No but seriously you look beautiful, like always, but today especially.", he says, more serious now.
I pull him into a hug: " Thank you, a lot."
Embrassing the hug, I get really close to him and whisper: "Not too bad yourself."
"Y/N! Ohmygod mate. I can't belive I'm friends with you"

Moments later Phil walks in. "Wow, Y/N, you look so pretty!", he says, already in his fancy attire. "Oh wow, so do you! Thanks Phil!"

At 8:55 pm the first guests ring the door and I go to open it as Phil's taking care of the food and Dan's changing.

It's Zoe, Louise and Alfie who all look stunning. The only ones missing are Louise's boyfriend and Joe. But they follow about 15 minutes later.

When everyone is in the lounge, I hear a scream from upstairs: "Y/N, can you come please?", it's Dan so I stand up to go to him, Lou and Zoe just saying stuff like "Get it girl" and "Yaas".

I arrive at the room to a helpless Dan.
"I don't know how to tie the tie, can you help me?"

I tie it with a bit of struggling at first. "Thank you, love", he places a soft kiss on my forehead, making me blush.
"Dan, honestly you look great in that suit. I love it on you", I say taking his hand to go to the others. "Thank you, gorgeous"
