Chapter Twenty-Eight

"I did it.", Dan says and shows me his phone.
He posted a picture of me and him on new years, not kissing, the laughing one, and explained everything.
"As most of you know, this is Y/N, and I hate how I have to explain myself but here we go:
No, she's not a fan that 'wanted' me for fame. She did go to our book signing, but just as a guardian.
I saw the artwork she did &' I contacted her and asked for help with our merchandise. And she helped us and did an amazing job. And we became really good friends. Best friends. (No, no one's replacing Phil).
New years was just a raffle we did with everyone. (Zoe and Louise kissed; lmao).
We didn't talk for a while because of some personal stuff that neither of us will talk about, please stop asking.

I give back his phone and smile: "That's good. I'm glad this hell is over."
"Yeah, one question tho. Do you have anything going on with Joe?", he asks.

Joe, what a great guy. Me and him got pretty close after what happened with Dan, but we never went further that being friends, I knew he fancies me, Zoe told me, but I'm sure he'll get over it soon.

"No, you flop", I laugh.
"Okay good.", he says.
"Dan, don't get any ideas. We agreed on just being friends."
"For now.", he smiles.

It's now three days before the tour in the US starts and Dan calls me. "Hey love.", he says.
"Hello Daniel, what's up?"
"Not much, just packing."
"Woa, you actually started in time. I'm impressed."
"Yep, be proud. So I was wondering, and Phil too, if, um..."
"What?"
"You wanted to go on tour with us?", he bursts out.
I laugh: "Very funny, very funny."
"No, I'm serious! Please? You don't have to pay for anything. Phil's brother wanted to come originally but can't because of work. Everything's booked already."
"Dan, you know I'd love to but I can't because of uni and work, you'll be gone for a month!"
"I know, but you can ask for a vacation from work, you're not a proper employee anyways, and can't you get sent uni work via email these days?"
"Yes, yes sure, I'll try okay?"
"Yeees, I'm so exited", he squeaks into the mic.
