"Location change; 'Positive'

Dear Y/N,

as you know, the actual designing process of the line is soon to begin.

We have to pick the different fabrics and textures, along with the making of the labels, pick the models for the line and photoshoots!

And since most of these things aren't possibly done in London, or England over all, we have to change locations. So Richard and I decided it would be best if you and I would fly out to New York for a month to the nydesigns studios.

Costs for the flights, public transportation and housing will be covered by nydesings and our sponsors.

Let me know what you think,

Fleur."

My instant feelings are mixed:

I am excited to go to New York. It's New York after all and being able to live there for free for a month, makes me feel incredibly grateful and lucky.

But also, I don't want to leave behind my calm life in London.
I'm not too social after all, so not being able to work from the comfort of my own home makes me anxious.
And obviously, I don't want to leave Dan or Phil or Zoe or anyone I love for that matter.

Speaking of Dan, I poke his dimple to get his attention.

He shakes his head, laughing, and turns to me: "What's up, beautiful?"

I put my laptop infront of him and let him read the message himself.

His still smiley expression quicky changes into a sad one, leaving his eye's watery and him biting down on his lip.

He turns to me and gives me a weak smile before hugging me: "I am so proud of you.", he whispers into my hair.

I look at him with my now teary eyes: "I don't want to leave you."

"And I don't want you to to go. But this is amazing babe, honestly, a huge opportunity that I will make you go after, no matter what.", he says and takes my hand.

I sigh: "I know. But still, how am I meant to survive not seeing you for a whole intire month?"

"I don't know, beautiful. Promise me to skype me everyday?"

I hold up the hand with the promise ring: "Promise."

The rest of the flight goes by really fast, maybe because Dan holds me tight, or maybe beacuse it just isn't that long after all.

We arrive at my house in Switzerland with my parents already waiting for us in excitement.

Talking to them and seeing how proud of me they are and also seeing how well them and Dan get along makes me incredibly happy.

My father and Dan spend their evening talking and laughing with another, while I help my mother with the last minute preparations for tomorrow.

"Your one year anniversary is coming up, isnt it?", my mother asks while wrapping my cousin's last present.

"Yes, in a bit."

"Anything exiting planned?"

"Eh- nope. Not yet."

"Daniel is a really great guy, you know."

"Yes?"

"Have you ever thought about marriage?", she now asks.

"Mum! We're both in the beginning of our twenty's, I think we have some time left."

"I know, I know, but I feel like he's the one."

"That's how I'm supposed to feel, not you."

"Oh dear, you know what I mean.", she laughs.

We continue talking about all sorts of plans and the future, before Dan comes in.

"Do you need any help?", he kindly offers.

I am about to say no, when my mother says something: "Uh- yes actually. Y/N, can you get some more wrapping paper from the shops while Dan helps me?", she asks.

DAN'S P.O.V:

After she leaves, I finally get to talk to both of her parents without her being there and ask them for something I've been wanting to for ages.
