Chapter Eighty-Two

I put on Dan's camo sweater that is laying around on his bed about an hour later and we both go to the lounge Phil is still sitting in, probably answering emails or editing a video.

"Did you guys have fun?", he asks, taking out one of his earpods.

I turn to Dan who is bright red.
"Shit."

We eventually laugh off the awkwardness and order some Chinese takeaway.

Complimenting that, we watch some chinese anime.

Just when the second episode finishes, I get another text.

Zoe: ??

"Oh fuck. I'll be back in just a sec.", I say and go into Dan's room so I can talk to Zoe in peace.

"Y/N! Are you okay?", she almost shouts when picking up the phone.
"Yea I'm alright, sorry I didn't call earlier, I was... busy."
"What were you doing?", she says in a cheeky tone.
"Trust me, you don't want details.", I laugh.
Giggling, Zoe responds: "Well, well, well. Update me on your life, love! We haven't talked in what felt years!"
I sigh: "Yea and I'm sorry, these past days were really stressful."
"Why? What happened?", she asks, worried.
"Ugh- okay so basically, I got sick and felt really nauseous and I didn't get my period so my mom suggested th-"
"What?! What are you trying to say? Oh my god.", she interrupts me.
"No, no, no. So, I made Dan get me a test and it turns out I am not pregnant, luckily, and Dan and I got into a fight and it is all just a big old mess. I think I just feel stressed because of the job situation and therefore was nauseous. ", I ramble.
"Oh wow. Why did you guys fight? Is everything okay now?"
"I guess. I'm still a bit upset. But basically, he was exited and wanted a child and I'm not ready for that and also he- um, like, he wanted to propose?"
"Wait what? Firstly, why didn't you tell me all of this earlier? And secondly, did he?", she says, excitement and in her voice.
"No he didn't because I said I don't want to marry him right now and only maybe in the future, we've only been dating for 8 months!"
"Oh, oh. I am so sorry. This really is a mess. Did he not talk to you beforehand?"
"Nope, and that's what upset me the most. He just figured I'd want to marry him."
Zoe pauses before continuing: "That sucks but I am sure you guys will work it out, you are made for each other."
I smile: "Thank you Zo. Enough of my problems, what did you want to talk about?"
"Well I might have something to help you de-stress!"
