Chapter Seventy-Eight

The radio show finishes  30 minutes later and I reviece a new text right when it ends.

Dan: I would definitely rather buy one now. Preferably for you.

Y/N: Well I'm waiting for you :-P

"Babe!", Dan shouts from the front door.
I run downstairs and fall into his arms: "Dan!"
"Are you actually being serious? Like- do you think you're pregnant?", he whispers into my ear.
"Could be, I feel nauseous and haven't got my period", I whisper back.
He looks at me with a huge grin on his face: "I'm so exited babe."
Forcing a smile, I sigh: "I'm not sure you get how big of a change and responsibility a child is. We aren't ready for that, babe."
"Me neither. I'm just happy for now, let's think positively, eh?", he says, hands me the bag and kisses me lovingly before guiding me into the bathroom.

I tell him to stay behind in the lounge with Phil, who is also very exited and nervous, but just as I finish talking the test, I hear a knock on the door: "You done babe? Can I come in?", he asks.
I open the door to let him inside: "Yes but we'll have to wait for 3 minutes."
"Oh, ok.", he sighs and drops to the floor; : "I'm nervous now."
I drop down too and crawl onto his lap: "Me too. I don't think we are ready."
"Yea.", he begins, stroking my arm, "me neither. But if you are pregnant, I'll do everything to make your life easier, I promise."
"Thank you. I love you Dan. I really do. I'd love to have a little Dan running around.", I laugh.
"I'd love to have a little Y/N running around. Imagine how cute she would be?!", he says in excitement.

We sit there in silence for the next few minutes, Dan holds me tightly and the bit of plastic that can change our lives is on the counter top next to us.

"Can we look?", he asks a few minutes later.
"Yea. I guess."
Dan gets up and takes the test without looking on it.
After he sits down next to me he kisses me: "You ready?"
I shrug and grab his hand: "I don't know."
"Babe, it will be fine don't worry. I love you. I will protect you at all times, it's okay."
He turns around the test and we see the results.
