Chapter Fifty-Four

"What did I just witness", I ask and sit down next to Zoe on Joe's bed. She looks up at me, still crying.
"Since when were you standing out here?."
"About a minute. What is going on?"
"It's okay, don't worry about it, It's fine...", she says, wipes away her tears and smiles before continuing: "how was Iceland with Dan?"
"Zoe, it is not okay, what happened? You can tell me."

DAN'S P.O.V:

The first thing I do when I am at home is upload the video I did with Y/N.
I plan on posting it tomorrow or the day after. It is a really funny video and I am exited for everyone to see it.
The videos with her always go well because she's not on my channel often and I only talk about her online when I feel like I have to.

"How was Iceland?", Phil asks when we are eating dinner in the lounge that evening.
"Really good, we should definitely go there together sometime."
"Did you give her the promise ring?", he asks, exited.
"Yes and she loved it.", I smile.
"Aw, I am so glad! Next is the proposal, eh?"
"Yea, definitely", I reply sarcastically.
"Do you not want to marry her?"
I sigh: "I don't know."
"What?", he asks me, shocked, "if you can't see yourself with her forever, why take up your, and her, time?"
"It's not that I don't see myself with her forever, but we've only been dating for a few months, it's too early to even think about it."
"You're right, I guess. But trust me, from friend to friend, she's right for you", Phil says and smiles.
I smile back at him and give him a hug.

I know I want to marry Y/N, but I have no idea if she feels the same. I'm almost positive she does, but who knows.

I go onto twitter to see a lot of people asking where I've been. When I go onto the explore page, I see that #zalfiebreakup is trending.
I know they fought, about Y/N and I, but did that really make them break up? I'm not too close to Alfie at all and after what Zoe and Louise did to Y/N, we also aren't as close as we used to be either.

But because I'm a decent human at times, I decide to text Alfie to ask if he's alright since Y/N will already take good care of Zoe.

Dan: Hey man, how are you? I'm sorry about what happened.

He replies a few minutes later.

Alfie: You should be.
Dan: It's not my fault though, lmao.
Alfie: You serious? Yes it is?
Dan: How lol?
Alfie: You're the reason my whole life is falling apart.
Dan: Because you talked shit about me? You are the only person responsible for you and Zoe fighting.
Alfie: I am right though. You're a dick and your girlfriend deserves someone way better. Not a nerd like you.
Dan: Who is that someone?
Alfie: Joe.
