2 months later and I am free.
A few years of uni are complete.
I made it.
Today is the day I graduate and finally get my bachelor degree.Everything was great for me at the moment. Dan and I are still madly in love, the website is going great and people really start to get used to the idea of Dan and I being together. I hardly get any mean comments anymore.
Since today is the big graduation day, my family came from all over the world to see me and congratulate me.
Most of them are staying in hotels in London, but my parents are at my house. This is also the first time they will meet Dan as my boyfriend."Are you exited?", my cousin asks me while she was doing my makeup.
"Of course! Finally, all of the hard work pays off."
"I'm so happy for you Y/N, your life can really get started now."She finishes my hair and makeup and reunites with our family downstairs while I put my dress on.
(comment what it looks like! )
"Woa, Y/N, you look stunning", she says when I come downstairs.
Around her are some more relatives who just nod in agreement.
And then, there is my mum.
She puts her hands on her mouth in shock and seconds after, swings her arms around my neck, hugging me tightly: "My little girl, so grown up! I can't believe you're graduating! It feels like the day you're getting married to Daniel!", she squeals.
"Mum!", I say and roll my eyes, jokingly.***
The boring part of the graduation went quite well. I didn't trip over the cape, nor did I mess up my speech.
The only thing is, I wasn't able to see Dan beforehand because, of course, we was running late.
But that little sadness quickly fades when I first see him outside.
He stands there, talking with my dad, with flowers and a little card in his hand.
"Dan!", I shout. He quickly turns around, apologetically smiling towards my father and runs up to me, hugging me tightly when he arrives: "I'm so proud of you.", he whispers into my hair.
I smile and give him a quick kiss.
Dan hands me the gifts and I thank him. " Read it later.", he says, pointing towards the card before grabbing my hand. "Now, let's celebrate!"My family, friends and I all head to the Uni after party.
It is a lot of fun, but since I don't really like to party, we go to dinner instead. I love seeing Dan getting along with my family, especially my parents. The night ends at around midnight, when everyone heads back to their hotels because most of them are here with little kids or have to catch an early flight home in the morning.
My parents, Dan and I go back to my place.
When we arrive, my mother and I sit down on the couch while the boys are in the kitchen."Dan is a gentleman.", she says, "I knew he would be amazing."
"Yes, he's pretty great.", I smile, "I'm sad you guys are leaving in a few hours."
My mum sighs: "I am too, but you know: Work doesn't wait. I'm glad you are coming to visit us in the summer though! Will Dan be coming?"
"Not sure, I've yet to ask him, I definitely will though."Before anyone can say anymore, my dad waks in: "It's late, we should probably get to sleep since we have to get up again soon."
My mother agrees with a yawn. "Good night sweethearts.", she says giving me then Dan a peck on the cheek before going into the guest bedroom."Your family is great.", Dan says and sits down next to me.
"They really are.", I respond and yawn.
"Come on, time for bed.", Dan says surprisingly and picks me up with a giggle. He places me on the bed in my room before disappearing in the bathroom.
He comes back a few minutes later with his PJ's on and a smile on his face.
"You look handsome.", I tell him and reach out my arms so he would hug me.
"Thank you, beautiful.", he says after letting go of my hug. "As much as I love you in this dress, I think you're starting to look a bit uncomfortable in it. Let me help you out with that.", he laughs
