Chapter Fifty-Two

I don't think anything of it and just reply like I normally would:

Y/N: Yep, Iceland! It's beautiful! How about you? x

After I send the message, I throw on Dan's sweater and go into the livingroom where we is sitting on his laptop.

"Babe, when will you be done?", I ask him and wrap my arms around his neck.
"Um, probably in an hour," he turns around to me before continuing, "should we- hot damn, babe you look sexy.", Dan says looking at me.
I laugh: "Thanks, it's the shirt.", I kiss him and say: "What did you want to say?"
"Should we film a video together today?", he asks hugging my torso.
"Yea definitely, what do you have in mind?"

Two hours later, he is setting up the camera in front of our livingroom window.
At this point I put my hair into a messy bun but don't bother with makeup or anything like that. I am also still wearing Dan's way too big sweater.

"You ready?", he asks when he sits down next to me.
"Yes", I say, giving him one last peck before he begins.

"Hello Internet, so today I have my girlfriend Y/N with me.", he points at me and I wave. "and we are currently in Iceland!", he pauses and looked at me: "I'll edited in some snazzy clips of our trip now."
I laugh and he continues: "Y/N and I are going to play the seven second challenge to celebrate the new features in the app!"
He quickly goes through the added features and we begin  playing.

"Y/N, you have seven seconds to name all of your fingers on your left hand. Go!"
"Okay, so um, Kennedy, Sam, Hussan, Elvis and um- Bean. Did it!"
"Did you really just call your ring finger Elvis?", he laughs.
"I mean it fits?", I chuckle refering to the fitting lyrics on the inside of the ring I am still wearing.
"They are going to be confused about Elvis.", Dan giggles and we continue the game.

Filming is actually really enjoyable this time. Don't get me wrong, the first time I filmed with Dan and Phil was really fun, but this time around I am fully myself and don't have toworry about what people have to say.

Dan has to answer emails so I go back into our room to grab my phone when we are done.

I missed a few messages and open them.
Joe: Not much.

I roll my eyes. He clearly seems uninterested so I won't even bother texting him back.

Zoe: Heeey girl, how are you both doing?
Y/N: Very good! It's beautiful here!

She replies right away.
Zoe: Aw good! What did you do for your anniversary?
Y/N: He took me to this cute beach, it was so romantic and he gave me this...

I text and include a few pictures of the beach and the ring.
Zoe: Wait what?! Did he propose or did I miss something? Y/N?!
Y/N: Haha no mate, it's a promise ring.
Zoe: Aw shucks, he has to propose one day lmao.

ZOE'S P.O.V:

I put down my phone and continue editing my newest video.
Even though I am incredibly happy for my best friend, I can't help but feel a tiny bit jealous. Alfie never does cute things like that. Dan and Y/N have been together for a three months and he already gave her a promise ring.
I sigh, they are perfect for each other.
"What's up?", Alfie asks and comes into the lounge.
"Nothing, just editing.", I say and stare at the screen.
"Okay cool. Did you see that Y/N and Dan are official now?", he says when sitting next to me.
"Of course that was ages ago."
"Yea, finally I don't have to edited them out of my vlogs. It got so annoying."
This time I turn around to him: "You have to be kidding me, you were the one who outed them in the first place. They never wanted to make it official this soon but got forced to by... you."
He looks at me, shocked: "Whatever. It's not my fault, they knew I was vlogging."
"Alfie? Are you stupid? Being vlogged is not a daily thing for them."
He rolls his eyes: "I don't know why she's dating him in the first place."
"What do you mean?"
"Like, at first I thought they would never date anyways. Dan's such a nerd why would someone like Y/N want to date him."
I can't believe what is coming out of his mouth.
"They are perfect for each other Alfie. He treats her like every girl would want to be treated. He's actually a nice human, unlike you sometimes.", I spit and get up to leave the house to clear my head.
