•Alex is A

•because he's he one that died in a duel

•this one actually is gonna be historical??? maybe??? it could be modern???

•Alex is single

•and John never died

•so they share a house

•and they're secretly in a relationship

•well one morning Alex says he has an early day at work and leaves John

•John makes sure to give him a long kiss before pulling away and saying "Have a great day, my dearest Hamilton."

•John goes to work

•and the second he sets his stuff down on his desk somebody runs in

•"Laurens! People are calling for
you! They're saying that your friend, Hamilton, was shot in a duel!"

•John feels his heart stop

•and he takes off

•he's running down the street when he sees all this commotion

•and he barely gets a glimpse of Alexander's face before he disappears into a house

•he finds Aaron sitting on the ground by the road, sobbing into his hands

•John runs up to Aaron

•"Aaron, what's wrong? What's happened?"

•"Hamilton, he t-threw away his shot-t. I, oh god, I shot him. I-in the side. I'm a damn-n fool."

•John feels anger begin to boil him because a man that he thought of as a friend just shot his love

•he squeezes Aaron's shoulder so tight it's painful before leaning into his ear and whispering,"You'd better hide."

•Aaron nods and begins to run off

•and in that time John runs into the house

•the doctors are just leaving the room

•and he walks in to find Alexander laying on a bed, a rag that's slowly turning red wrapped tightly around his side

•John lets out a choked sob and steps foreword, hugging Alex gently so he doesn't hurt the man

•Alex turns and whispers "J-John?"

•"Yes, Al-"

•Alex cuts John off by pulling him down and pressing their lips together

•Alex pulls away just barely so John and him are sharing their breath

•and Alex slowly begins to sing

•"I-I may not live to see our glory, but I will gladly join the fight."

•John begins to cry even harder

•because that was their old bar song, the two of them and Hercules and Lafayette before Lafayette ended up in jail over in france and Hercules had disappeared, not a word spoken to each other in years

•Alex takes a deep breath, almost like he's going to speak again

•and then John feels him go limp in his arms

•John is completely crying now

•and as the doctors walk back in John whispers to Alex, who he knows is dead,

•"And when our children tell our story, they'll tell the story of tonight."
