•SO

•John and Alex and all those guys are against Lee and Jefferson and everyone else

•sorry if you've never read the outsiders before but yeah

•also their whole friend group is really reckless

•however

•John's been beat up a lot

•so he is very cautious and doesn't do anything dangerous

•Alex and his friend group sees a movie

•and afterwards Alex and John sneak away

•into a vacant lot

•and they fall asleep together

•Alex wakes up at 2AM all curled up into John

•John's arms are wrapped around Alex's waist

•but then he realizes that it's 2AM and Hercules and Lafayette are gonna have his head

•Hercules is furious

•and in the moment

•he slaps Alex

•Alex is shocked and he runs out

•finds John

•and they just start walking in this park

•Lee and Burr and Jefferson and Madison find Alex and John

•and since they're rivals

•Lee almost drowns Alex in a local fountain

•like

•he was on the verge of passing out

•but at the last second he's ripped away

•because John FUCKING STABBED LEE

•(John carries a knife for protection because of his past)

•"Holy shit, Alex, I just killed him!"

•"John, we gotta go!"

•Alex grabs John's hand

•and they run

•they find Angelica

•and she gives them some money and a gun to protect themselves

•then the two catch a freight train to a few towns over

•hop off

•find an abandoned church

•and set up there stuff there

•John is shaking

•so Alex pulls John into his arms

•they fall asleep with John curled up between Alex's legs with his head on Alex's chest and Alex's back against the wall

•the next day they both cut their hair short

•and they just spend their time playing cards and reading Gone With the Wind

•(Alex reads it to John while John is resting on Alex's chest)

•Angelica shows up after a week

•and she takes them out to lunch before the three go back to the church

•only to find it on FIRE

•WITH A BUNCH OF LITTLE KIDS INSIDE

•Alex and John rush in to save the kids

•and the two themselves barely get out alive

•they're trying to escape before the roof burns down

•but right before they do

•a beam falls on John

•John knocks out instantly

•so Alex drags John out

•as soon as they hit the grass the roof goes down

•everybody else doesn't really care

•but Alex is panicking and crying and trying to shake John awake

•Angelica calls the police and an ambulance arrives and takes Alex and John to the hospital

•Alex is fine other than a few burns

•but John isn't

•John dies

•all of their friends are overcome win grief

•especially Angelica

•who robs a store and flees

•and when the cops come

•she pulls "a gun" out of her waistband

•and the police shoot her down

•all of the violence in Alex's life that happened so quickly traumatized Alex

•so he just lives a silent life with Hercules and Lafayette

•and yeah

•I really fucking love the Outsiders even though it's hella sad
