// Imagine person A of your OTP calling B a weird nickname in public //

•this isn't really a weird nickname one but i'll explain

•so Alex has this really high up job

•and he's gained enough popularity and credit that everybody calls him "Mr. Hamilton"

•only a select view of people get to call him "Alexander" or "Alex"

•like Washington and Burr and the Schuyler sisters and stuff

•and then Alex gets this new intern named John Laurens

•Alex notices

•1) how hot John is

•2) how much ambition and intelligence he is

•3) HOW FUCKING HOT HE IS

•It doesn't take long for Alex and John to become friends

•they go out for drinks every Friday night and crash at each other's places and go to lunches together

•the both develop crushes on each other

•which helps because John and Alex are both openly gay and bisexual

•and one day it's at a conference with everybody from the office and Alex makes a joke about John and John just scoffs and says

•"Shut the hell up, Alex!"

•everyone is expecting Alex to flip out

•but Alex just laughs

•and everybody gets freaked out

•later that day Alex is eating lunch with Peggy when she just says

•"So, how long have you and John been fuckin'"

•Alex spits salad everywhere

•and afterwards Alex tells John what she said

•John just shrugs

•"Well, we could start tonight."

•Alex lights up

•and takes John up on that offer the same night
