•Alex and John are in the same art class

•in college

•and they've been crushing on each other for a little bit now

•so they get the assignment

•do draw their ideal universe

•and John tells Alex what he's gonna do right away

•but when he asks Alex

•Alex refuses to tell him

•"C'mon!"

•"Just wait, you'll find out sooner or later."

•it comes to the day of presentations

•and the class takes turns sharing their projects

•John shows his ideal universe and Alex falls in love even more

•its people of all genders, races, religions, sexual orientation, etc. all living in harmony

•finally Alex is chosen to go

•and he reveals his drawing

•John's face goes slack

•because it's a drawing of him

•or rather an outline of his face and neck

•and Alex has replaced John's skin with the galaxy

•and his freckles have become stars

•Alex explains it

•"John Laurens in my universe. Always has, always will. Simple as that."

•John is choking back tears

•the class ends shortly after

•and John drags Alex away

•they get to this secluded hallway

•and John just kisses Alex with as much passion possible

•Alex grins and holds John

•they finally pull away

•"Alexander, holy shit."

•"Did you like my drawing?"

•John stops in between each word to kiss Alex

•Alex starts laughing

•"Let's go back to our dorm, okay?"

•years later when they buy their first house together John hangs their drawings above their bed
