•I'm making the baby deaf

•because listen here

•John is a child therapist

•and he's learned sign language to communicate with more kids

•so John instantly starts teaching both the baby and Alex

•oh the baby is Frances btw

•anyway

•skip to when Frances is three

•and she still hasn't signed anything yet

•which causes John to panic at least once a week

•until one day

•they're all eating breakfast

•Frances in her little booster chair next to John

•and John suddenly feels a soft slap on his arm

•he turns to find Frances signing at him

•"Dad, may I please have some milk?"

•John beams

•and he signs back

•"Of course, darling."

•Frances let's out a silent laugh

•and John is crying after getting her milk

•Alex is too

•and they keep signing "I love you" to Frances the rest of the day

•and she's just grinning and signing it right back
