•because it'll make sense

•also I just picture Alex having a really steady hand so he'd work well in this

•so he works on broadway as a makeup artist

•pretty professional tbh

•and he just got added to work in Shrek: the musical

•(Yes it's a real thing if you didn't think)

•and he gets put in charge of Pinocchio's makeup

•the actor playing Pinocchio just so happens to be John Laurens

•so it's one of their full runs

•and Alex is doing John's makeup for the first time

•they make small talk

•John is so nervous

•because this hot man is inches away from him and keeps touching his face

•he also can't stop giggling from the brushes

•there's a lot of "Stop squinting" said

•and John feels like he makes the weirdest faces ever

•Alex keeps slapping at John's hands because he keeps trying to touch his face

•but it's all good

•they help each other survive the hell of tech

•and on opening night John runs into Alex panicking

•Alex calms him down while getting him ready

•and at the end of the show John runs into Alex

•Alex goes for a high five like the dork he is

•but John pulls him in for a hug

•Alex happily accepts

•but then John pulls away for a second

•and Alex is about to ask why

•but then John is pressing their lips together

•and Alex is laughing when he pulls away

•"That was great, but you've got to get this nose off first."

•John just laughs and goes back to hugging Alex
