•John is A

•Alex has no idea how to drive because

•1) he lived the first ten years of his life in a car-free town

•2) when he moved to America he was put in foster care in New York City and none of his foster parents had cars

•so Alex goes to Boston for college

•there he meets John

•months later they're dating

•when one day John asks if Alex can drive him somewhere

•Alex shrugs

•"Don't know how to drive."

•"W...What?"

•"I never learned how to drive."

•"Alex, you're twenty three, what the fuck."

•skip to the weekend

•and these two borrowed Lafayette's car and are in a deserted parking lot

•Alex drives with John next to him giving him directions

•"Hit the break pedal... THE OTHER PEDAL ALEX!"

•finally John gets too annoyed

•because Alex isn't listening damMIT

•and Alex is small enough

•so John squeezes into the driver's seat with Alex

•Alex is in his lap

•so Alex drives with John's hands over top of his

•and after Alex parks successfully for the first time

•Alex turns to John and grins

•"Look what I did."

•John just laughs and kisses the grin off of Alex's face

•every saturday these two go to that parking lot with Lafayette's car

•(because he never uses it)

•three months later Alex is running into John's arms, chanting about how he got his driver's license
