•Alex is A

•he never really felt like there was any problem at all

•he didn't even know he was colorblind until he was dating John

•they had known each other for a few months before dating and John always found it weird how Alex had like no style

•so one day John asks Alex to grab his green book on his desk and Alex brings back a red one

•"Alex I asked for the green book." "That is green." "Its red, are you colorblind?"

•Alex shrugs "Probably."

•so John takes Alex to the doctors

•and guess who's colorblind! Alex!

•John becomes Alex's new fashion helper

•"How does this look?" "Alex you look like you're about to go beg for money on the sidewalk." "Perfect."

•John labels everything in their house what color it is

•"Okay what color is this?" "Green." "This?" "Green." "This?" "Green!" "Is everything green to you?" "Yep."

•Alex and John spend countless nights and mornings laying in bed, John describing color to Alex and Alex imagining what it must be like

•John also likes to joke and say "You'll probably see color before we get married, y'know! That's just how stubborn you are!"

•"Kiss my colorblind ass, Laurens!"

•(they love each other still)

•and years later on Alex's birthday John gives him a present

•Alex opens it up and it turns out to be glasses

•"Glasses?" "Just try them on!"

•John is ecstatic and he looks like he's about to fall out of his chair from excitement

•Alex puts them on and suddenly his whole world is different

•"What the hell? John what's going on?"

•he lays his eyes on John and suddenly notices how John's eyes sparkle on his face

•"They're EnChroma glasses, glasses that help you see color. I've been saving up for them for years."

•Alex looks around again and feels himself begin to cry

•John moved forward and Alex falls into his arms

•John laughs and says

•"See? I told you you'd see color before we got married."

•Alex laughs as well

•"Yeah, but now this whole color thing is out of the way..."

•aaand that's how Alex proposed to John
