"We don't have a practice later." Bryce said.

"Why? The gig's tomorrow." I said while taking a sip on my beverage. Bryce and I are at the canteen, spending our leisure.

"We don't practice on the day before the gig. It's kind of our thing." He answered.

I nodded. I looked at my watch and sighed. "I better get going. My class is about to start."

Bryce nodded.

"Hey, Kirby." Ariana greeted as soon as I entered the room.

I smiled and waved my hand at her.

"I'm so excited for your gig tomorrow." She squealed.

I chuckled. "Thanks. I'm feeling nostalgic about it, to be honest."

"Because of your band before?" She asked.

I nodded. "Yeah."

Ariana caressed my back. "It's okay, Kirby. I know you'll do great tomorrow."

I smiled.

It was 10:00 pm when I texted Manu. After a sec, he replied.

I'm at the airport right now. I'll call you later when I get to the hotel. I love you.

I placed my phone on the side of my bed. I sighed and closed my eyes.

I don't know why I'm nervous about our gig tomorrow. I've done this before.

I did my homework to distract myself from overthinking. My mind's always superior over me.

It was exactly 12:00 am when Manu called me. Yep, I'm still up because my mind keeps on bugging me. I didn't even know it was possible.

"Hey." I said.

"What are you doing right now?" He asked.

"Nothing. I just finished answering my loads of work. Why?" I asked.

I chuckled when I saw Chelsea and Sandro's photo on Instagram.

"Why are you laughing?" Manu chuckled for a second and then continued. "Anyway, I'm outside your house right now."

I lost grip of my phone and it ended up hitting my face.

"Ouch!" I groaned.

"Are you okay?" Manu asked.

I sat down and caressed my nose. Ugh, that hurt.

"Hello? Are you still there?"

Geez, I totally forgot about Manu.

"Yeah, I'm still here." I said. "Why are you outside?" I went towards the window and looked for Manu.

Oh, there he is, looking handsome as always.

"I'll tell you when you come out." He said.

"What? My brother will kill me." I said.

"What he doesn't know won't kill him. Besides, don't you want to be a rule breaker for once?" He asked.
