I woke up to Manu beside me. He was sleeping, silently. His face is so perfect.

I touched his cheek. I smiled and admired his face.

"Why do you have to be so good looking?" I whispered.

"I don't know." He answered.

I felt my face heat up. I didn't know he was already awake.

I chuckled and pinched his cheek.

"I hate you." I said.

He chuckled. "Nah, you love me." He pouted.

I rolled my eyes. Manu hugged me.

"I'm happy we're okay now." He kissed the top of my head.

"Yeah." I said.

"I won't hurt you—"

"Please don't make any promises." I cut him off. I smiled at him.

"I'm really sorry." He said.

I didn't say anything. Instead, I hugged him.

"I love you." He said.

"I love you." I said back.

"Don't you have a class?" He asked.

My eyes widened. "Now that you mention it..."

He chuckled. "You should get ready."

I groaned. "I don't want to. I'm feeling lazy today."

"You're always lazy." He said.

I glared at him. He laughed and pinched my cheek.

"You're so cute." He said. I rolled my eyes. "Please get ready now. You need to attend your classes." He said.

"Okay, I will, but in one condition." I said.

"What is it?"

"Stay away from Lara." I said with a serious tone, but it was a joke.

Okay, it was partly a serious statement.

"Kirby..." He said.

"What? You can't stay away from her?" I chuckled. He looked at me, sadly. "Okay, you can't. It's okay." I faked a smile.

It was supposed to be a joke, but why does it hurt?

"You know I can't. We're working together." He said.

"But your movie already ended." I played with his hand. "You didn't even take me to the premier night." I mumbled.

"I'm sorry." He said. "I was really busy."

"You're so busy that you forgot to ask me to be your date to one of the most important nights of your life? C'mon, Manu. I have a brain. Don't make me look stupid." I chuckled.

"I don't. Why are you talking like that? I was just really busy."

"Because you're busy, you forgot about me? That's not a good excuse, Manu. Just tell me that you forgot about me because you're so happy with Lara. It's because of her, right? You've been neglecting me because of her." I said.

"What? Why would I do that?"

"Because you like her."
