Narrator's POV
On a gloomy June day, Albus Dumbledore —who was wearing a distinctive plum colored Muggle suit— made his way down a quiet street on London to Wool's Orphanage.
Why was Dumbledore heading to an orphanage one might ask, because he was delivering two acceptance letters, of course.
When Albus entered, he was met with a plain woman he guessed was Mrs. Cole from what he read on the sign outside, "How do you do, Madam?"
"I, myself, am doing quite well, but I must confess to a bit of confusion upon receiving your letter, Mr. Dumbledore. In all the years Harry and Tom have been here, they've never once had a family visitor. Frankly, I was stunned to find that someone knew of their existence." Mrs. Cole replied
"I am not family. But their names has been known to me since birth." Dumbledore explained
"I see." Mrs. Cole said, not dwelling on the strange thought, "I think I should tell you they're funny boys —quite odd. There have been incidents with the other children —nasty things."
Mrs. Cole didn't explain, as she opened one of the doors that littered the long hallway, "Tom, Harry? You two have got a visitor."
The room was simple: there were two twin beds on either wall; there was a large dresser by the door next to the left bed; between the beds there was a small table; and above the table there was a small window that showed the rain outside.
Harry was sitting on the left bed with knees folded to his chest and he had a worn black book titled "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" in his lap, Tom sat on the right bed with his hands resting in his lap.
"How do you do, boys?" Albus asked, but received no reply
"Well," Mrs. Cole said, breaking the silence, "I'll leave you three to yourselves."
Once the door was closed, Tom looked up and asked, "You're the doctor aren't you?"
"No." Dumbledore soothed, "I am a Professor."
"I don't believe you. I hear Mrs. Cole talking, her and the rest of the staff. They want us looked at. They think we're different." Tom accused
"Perhaps they're right." Dumbledore added
"Were not mad." Tom stressed
"Hogwarts is not a place for mad people." Albus smiled, "Its a school, a school for magic."
"You can do things, can't you, Tom —Harry too?" Dumbledore asked, "Things the other children can't.
"Yes." Tom answered
"Tell me some of the things you two can do, Tom." Albus asked
"We can make things move without touching them. We can make animals do what we want without training them. We can make bad things happen to people who are mean to us. We can make them hurt, if we want." Harry answered for him
"I'm like you two boys: different." Dumbledore explained
"Prove it." Tom ordered, tilting his head
To that, the book Harry had been reading caught on fire and quickly turned into ashes.
And as quickly as it happened, it reversed.
Albus then reached into his coat pocket and pulled out two letters, "I'm to give you two your acceptance letters."

As soon as they heard the soft clicking of Dumbledore's formal shoes disappear, Harry sat next to Tom.
"Imagine his face if we told him that we can talk to snakes." Harry giggled
"I imagine he would be quite shocked, Harry," Tom smiled, "but we can't reveal too many secrets yet."
"You're right." Harry agreed
To that Tom kissed his boyfriend chastely —no kissing was the right word, it was just a mere touching of the lips.
They had started dating in secret a year ago when they noticed that a snake could understand them and speak back and in the shock, Tom had kissed him.
Their relationship had to be kept a secret since homosexuality was frowned upon in their world, but hopefully it wouldn't be so in the Wizard one...
