Pondering. Walking. Pacing. Waiting.

This was all I could do as she hadn't answered my text, 'let me know when you're here x'  her phone was always on, never out of power. She always had the sound on as it never left her side, that is unless she misplaced it out of habit. Letting out a sigh I collapsed onto my bed, bringing my hands up to cover my face as the frustration wanted to escape me. A light knock on my door caused me to remove my hands and sit up straight, I gave him a small half arsed smile and waited for him to take his usual seat in the corner of my room.

"Y/n?" His tone immediately sounded whiny, which meant he wanted something. Giving him a slightly forced smile I raised an eyebrow to him hoping he wouldn't take long. "Do you know where my keys are? I said I'd meet Calum about ten minutes ago." Holding back the scream I gulped, gritting my teeth I walked out of my door and headed down the stairs with Luke hot on my tail

Walking into the kitchen I go to the fruit bowl which he has a habit of disregarding his keys in, looking inside of it I see it's absent of his keys for once. "Okay, this will be a difficult question but where did you last have them?" I remained calm, knowing this is all I can do at this point.

He brings his hand up to his chin and contemplate the idea of his keys, after a few minutes of silence I walked past him and headed upstairs, hoping I'd find them in the bathroom. Once I got upstairs I went straight to the bathroom which has been kept immaculately clean by our mum, which isn't an easy task to do. Searching in the cupboards I managed to find them and with a sigh I could get him out before she got here.

"Hi, come on in." I froze just before I got to the stairs, she was here.

As I walked down I saw Luke just making small talk with her, that was until I came into view. Luke stood up and noticed the keys in my hand, giving me a large smile and a hug he was about to leave, but tragically stopped at the last minute.

"Wait, you never introduced me Y/n." The words I dreaded to hear from him, I gave her a look and she came over towards the two of us.

I couldn't part with the anxiety over this moment, one I didn't think I'd have to face for at least a few more months, hence why I've been putting it off for so long. As I tried to speak my voice failed me, words weren't on my side the one time I've needed them more than ever before. "Elsa meet my brother Luke," I managed to get the first few words out with some ease, but the next half of my sentence will be the true struggle. Elsa seemed calm with Luke, as did he. "and Luke meet," The word was lodged in my throat, refusing to be said aloud, my heart couldn't be beating faster but the small spark that formed when I saw her smile was enough to fuel me. "my girlfriend, Elsa."

Once the words were out they floated in the air around us, yet I wasn't afraid. No part of me felt anxious anymore as I had finally said it, looking to Elsa I could finally hold her hand in front of Luke and not have to be careful when he's home. Luke froze for a moment, but eventually smiled to both of us. "Guess this explains why you didn't want to date Mikey." He joked and an involuntary laugh came out of me, "I'm happy for you sis, I truly am." He mumbled into me as he brought me into a hug. "Don't think you're getting out of this." He embraced Elsa too and I couldn't feel more at ease. My brother accepted me for who I am, and it just showed me how I shouldn't fear his judgement.
