76. The Best Nurse

Avah's POV:

After I texted mom, she hurriedly replied.

Okay. Punta na akong hospital.

I didn't reply anymore and putted my cellphone back in my bag.

Ugh! Kainis! Heavy traffic again! Aish.

"Ano ba naman!" For sure, Andy's already stressed with driving her car. Aish. Bakit ba kasi heavy traffic?

When we reached the hospital and the car was aready perfectly parked, I hurriedly went out of it and looked for mom.

"Mom!" I shouted when I saw her. My tears fell when I felt her embrace.

"Mom, I'm sorry. I-I wasn't able to g-go to U.S.A. f-for the semi f-finals. I'm not going t-to back o-off next t-time I p-promise." I sobbed.

"It's okay, sweetie. As long as our sweetie is in the right thing." After that hug, she tucked my hair behind my ears and said.

"Alam kong mahal mo si Andre. I'm your mom, sweetie. Memorize ko na galaw mo." I smiled sheepishly and kissed her on her right cheek.

"I'm ok with him, sweetie. Basta kung magpapaligaw ka, wag sa iba. Sa kanya lang. Ok?" I chuckled and nodded. She ruffled my hair and crinkled her nose.

"I think you should go. Bye sweetie kong pumapag-ibig." I chuckled and nodded.

"Hi tita. Oh, andito ka lang pala. Tara na." Andy said. Mom nodded so we ran to the nurses station.

"Uhmm. Nurse, asan po ba room ni Andre Reyes?" Andy asked.

"Kaano-ano niyo po ba siya?"

"Bestfriend po namin."

"Nasa 3rd floor po. Room 101."

"Ok. Thanks." And we ran there. Thanks to the elevator. Without it, we will not reach his room easily.

I knocked three times and door opened.

"My gosh." Zanea said and hugged us tightly.

We also hugged her back and after that, we went inside.

"Holy cheesecake." I whispered and let my tears run through my cheek when I saw him, lying on the bed with his eyes shut.

"Iwan ka na namin dito. Bibili ng pagkain yung iba tapos kukuha ako ng damit niya."

"Wayne. Can you also get a few garments of mine? Ako magbabantay sa kanya." He raised his eyebrow. I nodded. Ibig sabihin kasi nun is 'are you sure' that's why.

"Thanks, Avah ah. Labyu." I smiked at Zanea and shaped my fingers into heart.

They all left me and I cried. I knelt beside Andre and hold his hand.

"Sorry Andre. This is all my fault. But Drey, you're so unfair. Ngayong mahal na mahal na kita tsaka ka matutulog. Get well, Andre okay? I love you." I whispered and kissed his forehead.

I grabbed the beanbag chair at the side and placed it beside his bed. I holded his cheek and smiled. I leaned back and cried while still holding his hand.

Why Andre? Why?

I kissed his hand and rested my head on the side of his bed until everything went black.

I woke up when someone gently patted my cheek.

"You should eat." Zanea said and handed me a cup of noodles and chopsticks.
