"WOOHOO!" I shout in the crowd. Kendall's team won!!! So Friday after school, he asked me if I wanted to watch his baseball game Saturday, which I obviously said yes too! It's Saturday night after the game and I'm so proud of him and his team for winning the championship for this season!!

Suddenly a little spotlight goes on Kendall while his team members are standing in the back. Most likely a speech of how proud he is of the team since he's the captain.

"Anna, if you would please come down" he points at me and I hesitantly stand up. What's he doing?! I sigh and walk down the bleachers into the field next to him. "This ladies and gentlemen is my best friend Anna Frey" he says in the microphone and everyone awes. "Anna" he looks at me and I smile. "From the moment you ran up to me to see if I was okay, I instantly knew I couldn't let you go. We grew closer and closer over a time frame and over that time frame... I've really become attached to you... I started to like you. Your smile, laugh, the way you out stand everyone in the room I'm in for just being you" he pauses. Oh my gosh!!! "Will you be my girlfriend Anna?"

"YES!" I jump into his arms and smile. He throws his arm up in accomplishment and the crowd screams with excitement.

I'm. His. Girlfriend!!!!!

I run into school looking for Austin and Kai, I guess they aren't here yet so I run over to Kendall and jump on his back from behind.

"Hey!" I smile and he holds onto my thighs. Sorta reminds me of Kai... expect Kai's more gentle and has softer hands... ok that sounded weirdddd.

"Hey babe" he looks at me over his shoulder and smiles. I go to say something, but that's when I see Kai and Austin walking in so I jump off his back and run towards the boys.

Kai's lip is busted open... it's like a cut right in his lip that has so much blood on it. Probably a fight with Austin or whatever him and his family do, so I just decide to get straight to the point.

"HE ASKED ME TO BE HIS GIRLFRIEND IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE AUDIENCE!!" I jump excitedly as I reach them. Kai tilts his head, which he does when he's confused.

"Who?" Austin and Kai ask in union. I go to speak, but Kendall comes up from behind me and wraps his arms around my body. I love his warmth so much. Kai's hands start to turn into fists... okay I know he doesn't like Kendall, but geez.

"Okay okay so he asked me to go to his baseball game Saturday, and I did, little did I know he'd ask me out in front of everyone!! Kendall's the guy I liked I told you guys about" i smile ear to ear as I continue to jump in excitement. The boys faces look so anxious... because I'm dating the guy they don't like? Well they have to get used to it, because he's gonna be around a lot.

"Fucking awesome" Austin growls. What the fuck? I give them a confused look and Kendall unwraps his arms from around me and puts his hands on my shoulders.

"We have to go" Kai says rudely and hits my shoulder with his as Austin and him walk pass us. I turn around to look at them walking down the hall then look back at Kendall.

"It's fine, they don't like me, but you're mine and they're gonna have to get over that. I'm sorry I'm talking about your best friends like that, but it's true... we're gonna be spending a lot of time together, more than when we were friends" he shrugs and I nod in agreement.

"Yea, they're stubborn assholes sometimes" I laugh. The bell rings and Kendall walks me to class then leaves to his own class. Kai's back is turned away from my seat... why is he so mad? I sit down and go to tap his shoulder but he had other ideas.

"Don't touch me" he doesn't turn to me or anything. I pull my hand back and look at him, trying to figure him out.

"Kai... why are you so mad? I wanna talk this out, not ignore each other... please tell me what's wrong" I say softly and he turns to me. He looks so anxious, his messy hair is well... messy, his eye is slightly becoming a black eye and his lip is cut open. I try to study his expression, but it's blank.

"Listen, I'm tired and don't wanna talk. Good for you that you got the guy you like, but right now I don't wanna talk" he turns back around and continues his work. Ouch that was kinda shallow... he only does that if somethings bothering him to the core...

It's now lunch and i see Austin and Kai just sitting around in the hallway talking while leaned up against lockers. Why? After getting my lunch I sit down with Kendall whose face lights up when he sees me. Cute.

"Hey wanna hang out after school? You can drive home with me, meet my family, then we can go somewhere" he asks and a smile creeps on my face.

"Sure! Let me tell my mom" I pull out my phone and turn it on. I accidentally tap on safari instead of iMessage, I'm about to click home only something catches my eye, a news report.

Below the report, it shows a picture of Kai holding his arms in the air with blood all over his shirt and sweat dripping down his face. The next picture shows him in a belt while holding a medal then an interview video. My heart instantly sinks. I forgot his boxing tournament!

I immediately stand up then run out into the hallway to see Austin and Kai walking so I run towards them.

"KAI!" I shout as I run and they turn around to me. Austins face turns into a scowl and Kai has a annoyance expression displayed when I finally make it to them. "Kai I am so sor-" I get cut off.

"Fuck off Anna. You forgot all about me while you ran off with your fucking boyfriend. You knew this meant a lot to me and you didn't even show up" he snaps, making me flinch.

Anna. He only called me Anna when he hated me... 

"Kai really ok I forgot! I was so caught up in the fact that the guy I liked asked me to go to his g-" he cuts me off once again.

"You've been forgetting about me a lot lately, haven't you?" he pauses and my face washes with guilt "You ditched me! I was waiting there for you! Waiting for you to show up, and guess what, you didn't! You were too busy playing my crush asked me out to his game. You've changed. I really trusted you Anna...but you're just like the rest of these girls" his words cut deeper then they walk away.

He's right, I have been forgetting him because I was with Kendall... I never even tried to make time for them. I'm such a terrible friend... it's gonna be so hard to try and get them back.

"Please..." tears roll down my face and Kai turns to me with a sad look before turning back around, walking away from me. "Kai I'm sorry!" I shout as I cry.

I've changed... I've definitely changed and they've noticed. This fight meant so much to Kai and I left him hanging there, waiting for his friend to stand in the crowd cheering him on... while I was at another game... cheering someone else's name. How could I forget him?

I wipe away my tears and walk back in the lunchroom with my head down as I sit back at the table. Kendall looks at me with a concerned face before hugging me. Damn it feels good to be in his arms right now.

"What's wrong" he softly asks while he pulls out of the hug and looks at me. I'm tired of not being myself, even if it means hurting the people around me... I'm gonna try to get my best friends back.

"I can't hangout after school, I'm incredibly far from busy" yep, that's what I'm gonna do. Try to get my friends back, no matter what or how long it takes me, I'm getting them back in my arms.
