Chapter 79: So Close

    They played a lot of hip hop songs and Maya mingled with almost everyone. She stayed away from Colby and Jon judging by the pictures she seen last night Renee and Carmella were their dates. Maya was also old enough to drink now as she had a few shots with Joe ashey even playfully danced around. Until another slow jam came on Joe sat down as Maya was about to join him a figure pulled her close to him as he began to dance with her it was like the dance was choreographed and as everyone was doing the same thing. The eyes that was was looking in felt familiar and so comfortable her hand rested on his shoulder.

"Who are you?" Maya asked.

Then,  evryone switched partners and started doing the same dance again. This time she could tell that she was dancing with Finn as she still tried to figure out the last persn she was dancing with her attention got caught onto Finn as they smiled at one another. It was time for another partner switch and Maya went into another mans arms as he held her tighter to his chest as she focused on his heartbeat, Colby. Maya looked up slightly  as they swayed as the song came to an end. Colby wasted no time cupping her face kissing her for a moment she was trapped in it then pushed him away. She grabbed her bag and walked up the stairs she'd only been here for more than a few hours and something happened. Joe ran up the steps after Maya and behind him was the first man she danced with, Jon. 

"Let me talk to her man." Jon said to Joe.

Maya rushed down the street to try and get away from it all. Jon ran and stopped Maya on her tracks. Jon knew he wasn't the person she wanted to expect to be there or even care at all. At first they stood there in a silence Maya tried to get past, but Jon wouldn't let her. Finally, he spoke up for the first time in awhile.

"I apologize."

Maya didn't say a word. She wasn't shocked she just wanted to go back to her hotel room. She still tried to get past him until Jon was fully frustrated.

"Maya I can't keep playing this game. Okay? I can't keep dooing this. I know the truth Maya I know that you're in love with me as I am with you okay. I know, we know." Jon said holding Maya by her arms. 

"Jon you don't undertsand-"

"I don't need to understand and neither do you. I love you and this is a bad time for all of this."

"Jon please I'm trying to help you."

"How are you helping me when being away from you is the main cause of my pain."

Maya stopped for a moment looking around to make sure Shane nor Daniel were around.

"You seemed pretty happy last night. Okay Jon, as much as I want this. It can't happen."

Maya walked past Jon, but he caught her arm again.

"Why? Whys it so hard to see what we can make happen. How happy we could be."

Maya stopped for a moment taking in the words that Jon said also realizing she forgot her jacket as the fall wind started to blow. A leaf had fallen in between her and Jon. He took off his jacket trying to wrap it around her, but Maya pushed it away.

"This job makes you happy too. You've worked so hard. Jon please let me go."

Jon paused for a moment looking at Maya as he moved closer to her hugging her tightly. Maya hugged him as well for once her heart felt free and when she took in her deep breath it was like her chest was no longer clogged or in pain. Jon circled his fingers along her back as if it brought peace with them both.

"Just come back to the party and enjoy yourself. That's all I'm saying."

Maya nodded as they walked back to the building Maya walked ahead of him.  They stood in front of the door as Jon held the door open for her.

"Come to my room tomorrow morning and we'll talk." Maya said.

Maya walked in and sat with Nick as they joked around, danced around and of course getting drunk. Joe he was wasted along with Sasha, Becky, Maya, Finn, Nick, Big Cass and Enizo and A.J Styles. They all laughed at nothing before everything started getting intense. Nick and Maya were all over one another as Jon watched from a distance furious his blood boiling from across the room and Colby wasn't there anymore he'd disappeared. The drinks were too much in everyone's system as they stumbled everywhere they went.

"We...should go." Maya slurred.

"Nooo." Joe slurred.

Maya got up with Nick by her side grabbing Joe and everyone else straggled along all going to the hotel. Everyone went to their room except for Joe as he walked Maya to her room. They stumbled and tripped on their way to her room giggling. Finally, they made it to Maya's room as they walked in as Joe fell on the couch. Maya stumbled in her room trying to take off her dress struggling and becoming unsuccessful.

"Joe!" Maya whined.

Joe's footsteps could be heard as he stumbled in the room as he was looking at her. Maya motioned for the zipper as Joe unzipped it having it fall to her ankles.  Joe's hands fell at Maya's lower waist as she turned to face him. Joe stroked her face not knowing if he wanted to do something or not. Then, he remembered his brothers as all those thoughts were clouding his mind he didn't realize that Maya left from in front of him and was in the bed fast asleep. Joe couldn't keep his footing as he stumbled back to the living room taking off his shirt grabbing a blanket and falling asleep on the couch. Morning arose and there was a slight knocked at Maya's hotel door it woke Joe up as he went to go answer it, his head banging. Joe stumbled to the door as the knocking continued opening it to reveal Jon. Jon's face overcame with shock as he barged in the room looking around looking around.

"Joe? Joe!" Jon yelled. 

Maya groaned in pain wrapping the pillow around her ears trying to cease the yelling. Her head was banging as she got up and went into the bathroom. She looked around until she found her pills grabbing one and brushing her teeth and then swallowing the pill. The yelling got louder as she walked out into the main room. Maya quickly went to shut the door as Colby slipped in about to say something to Maya when he noticedand came over to Jon and Joe who were getting pretty close to fighting. Jon was furious as he finally looked at Maya she was wearing a big t-shirt her eyes pleading with Jon.

"My best friend and my-" 

"Jon nothing happened." Maya said.

She grabbed his face so that he was looking at her. Her eyes pleading for him to stop with all the fussing.

"Nothing happened. Nothing at all." Maya said.

"I'd never do that to you man." Joe said.

Jon slowly calmed down as he sat on the couch. Joe got dressed as all of us sat in silence. Maya felt like she ruined everything and looked at Jon and Colby. 

"2 months." Maya said.

"Each of you. Whoever wants to start first. I'll date you for 2 months to see what happens. Someone gets one set of 2 months and after that's over the other gets the months. I'll make my decision easier at least I hope. But it has to be on the low because if anyone big in WWE finds out. I'm out."
