93: Rose and Dance

The Christmas holidays are finally over and Dad flew back to NY with mom, Tofer and Lex. The good news is that, they'll be coming back for my birthday on April. After the holiday break, balik trabaho rin kami.

Hindi na namamalayan ang panahon dahil sa sobrang busy naming mga schedule. Nabbusy rin ako sa pag-gawa ko ng album. I write songs depending on my mood and if I'm not in the right mood, I don't write dahil magiging senseless lang iyon.

Showing na rin iyong movie namin and two days palang sa cinema ay ilang milyon na ang nalikom. And it really becomes a certified big hit movie. It's a blockbuster movie. As in na tinangkilik ng masa. And of course, there is and always will be bashers. Well, okay lang. Lahat naman ng tao, gumawa ka man ng mabuti o hindi, may mase-say so shut up nalang ako.

As time goes by, it's already summer and so it's a summer season, it's April. Therefore, my family in NY will come back. Actually, they're here already. Parang kailan nga lang eh.

The primary reason why they came back is to celebrate my birthday at the beach so yun ang plano since malapit na ang araw na iyon.

It's a huge buzz in the Philippines that Lex Preston is here. James Brayden was an extreme hit when we arrived almost a year ago. And now, there's another one coming from Hollywood. Of course, it started from me. Who else?

We tried to go shopping for beach attires but these two hunks wouldn't get slip away from the drooling eyes of their fans. Parang ako na nga lang yung out of place kumbaga, e. Di masyado napapansin or maybe people are getting used to me since I'm appearing in televisions while the 'heartthrobs' are not. So sige, chance muna nila.

So yun nga, dahil di maiwasang walang maka-pansin sa amin so kinailangan na talaga namin ng bodyguards. Dad wanted this and papa helped him on finding guards for us.

Hindi na sumama si Kuya JM dahil may mga board shorts pa naman daw siya at may sando at shirts siyang pwede nang suotin. Papa and mama refused also, instead, they went to their works with Kuya para konti na lang daw ang aasikasuhin pag balik nila. Para di na matambakan.

"Invite your friends, Kaitee," mom Vicky said.

I hesitantly look back at her. Is she serious? Those friends of mine? Those girls? Seriously? With these two hunks in one place? Oh my god! Sasakit tenga ko sa mga sasabihin nila!

"Aren't you kidding, are you?"

"I'm serious. I bet you couldn't make time for them due to your hectic sched," she responded.

"Well yeah. But honestly speaking mom, my ears will get hurt listening to their fantasies with these ugly guys. That's frustrating, you know.."

"Sarcasm all over here, Kaitee?" It was Lex.

"Honey, give them a chance to be with these 'ugly guys'. It's a one-time opportunity." Tawa ni mommy.

Nakita ko namang nagpa-pogi sign si Lex dahil sa sinabi ni mommy, di inalintana yung pag-gaya ng 'ugly guys' as my description for them. Brayden just shrugged it off but I know, deep inside of him, it's an ego boasting factor. See that smile? Uh-oh!

And as if I can do something with my friends. Gusto ko rin namang maka-sama sila so I fished out my phone from my bag and start to type messages.

"Let Reniel come, too."

Mula sa phone yung mga titig ko ay iniangat ko para tignan ang nag-salita. Shock rin ako kay daddy.

"I want to know him, Kate."

That! Has nothing to do with my decision. If dad wants him to come with us, well, I guess I'll just have to tell him. But, oh my goodness! Isn't this too much?
