"I can't believe you were once friends with Jonas Harper."

I smile awkwardly. Well, that's how we become after being apart from 6th grade and be block mates in college.

"I know.. neither I." I told Yvonne.

We're in the school cafeteria and as expecting, there goes the famous basketball team sitting on the center beside the table of the cheering squad.

"Why don't you befriend him? I'm sure he won't do the snob like the usual he does when some average girl try to talk to him." My good friend suggested.

"Nah. Better be a ghost to him than being get in to trouble with that 'chick' who's always clinging to him."

"You have the point. But surely he will save you."

"We can't be sure. He's totally different from Jonas Harper I've known."

While we're having a chitchat about that popular guy, we glance at their table and I know they are used with the people's stares. But as I look up to them, he caught my eyes. He froze when our eyes met and it's a sign for me to get up my ass and leave. Yvonne followed me with confusion in her eyes.

"Cut!" The director shouted over the megaphone.

I take in an oxygen after that scene. Finally, it was done without retaking it.

"Good job, actors!" said the director to us as he was satisfied by our performance.

The staffs are clapping in success. Me and my co-actors take on our spot while our personal assistants are helping us. I closed my eyes and lean on the backrest of my chair.

"Hey.."

"Wanna go for lunch?" Dylan asked, my co-actor who's playing the role of Jonas Harper.

"Why would we go out for lunch when the production staff are preparing something for us?" I said nonchalantly.

"Well, just in case you want to try some foods nearby. I heard there are lots of restaurants here that are mouthwatering." He said enthusiastically.

"Uh, no. But thank you for the offer. Try to ask her instead." I pointed Alice who's just few meters away but enough for her not to hear anything.

I know ever since that she has a crush on him. He's a nice guy, I must admit. But he's too good to be even hooked up with. He's just try'na fling with me and I would never give a damn.

Ten minutes before the lunch time, Brayden showed up in the set and he surprised me with his appearance. Without even giving me a 'hi' or 'hello', he grabbed my wrist and dragged me going to his car. He opened the passenger's side door and he pushed me to get inside but not the harsh way.

"What the heck! What's your problem, man?" I exclaimed when he entered and put the key to the ignition.

"You! What's your problem that you're leaving?"

It caught me off guard. Then the news now finally got to him. It's just days since I got the permission from my dad and mom and then now he knew it already. But I did not answered him. I remained silent until he stopped at a five star restaurant.

The guy in uniform usher us to the table for two that is quite far from the public's eye even if only few of the average people who can afford in this kind of resto.

The waitress gave us the menu and I can see how she drools with the guy I'm with. I know it's forbidden for them to gawk at their customer so I remained quiet for her to get some detail about this jerk. I diverted my eyes on the list of the foods and chose. Brayden did the same and after giving our orders to the waitress, he immediately give his attention to me.
