Mide was not on seat by the time Obi checked him in his office. That was weird. She was slightly worried that something was wrong when she didn't hear from him since he canceled dinner the previous day. So she decided to wait for him on one of the chairs before his desk. Her friend already put on a bright smile and Obi was happy that her friend was back to her normal self. She knew Lola doesn't cry for a long time, she doesn't cry at all except that she was real with the man that broke her heart. Well if not for anything, she could have 1 month to mourn her 7 months relationship, which was her longest that she just lost to some whore... but Klerg won't recognize that if it affected her job. When she and Lola entered the building in the morning she noticed everyone were busy minding their business.

"Harrison Adeleke definitely has effect on everything. This place used to be rowdy." Obi said when the air was so tense that the receptionist hardly replied their good morning.

"Or he is already sacking people because of lateness? Obi for the first time I got to work late because I slept over at your place."

Obi had rolled her eyes. "Lol, this isn't the first time you slept over. Or how come you have your clothes at my place so you could dress to work this morning."

"I do that on weekends."

"Maybe it is just because of his presence and what people learnt about him."

"Then this is very bad. No wonder people are pushing for transfer."

"Transfer?" Obi snorted. "Is he God that they are so scared of him?"

"Babe, I heard the man can be ruthless sometimes"

She leaned back to put her head on the headrest. Yes, very bad and she felt so worried now that her fiancé too has been unreachable. Did he get into a fight with Harrison? No way, he acted like she did not exist yesterday so why would Mide fight him? No way was she going to get apply for transfer because of that. She wasn't going to run away like Harrison did. Mide renewed her mind to always stand tall against her problems and Harrison...was her problem. She wouldn't move an inch even if he try to get her out of his sight.

Her phone beeped and she looked down on the message she just received from Lola.

"We need to talk ASAP."

No, she needs to talk to Mide first. Every other thing could wait.

Wait.

Unfortunately she remembered that Harrison hate to wait, he loved to do things his own way and as fast as possible. Just that, qualified him as a boss and back then she didn't realize he was lying to her. The bastard lied to her and maybe he deliberately showed up now to kick her out of his company? Maybe she should just resign honorably to avoid being handled recklessly by him.

"Hey, sweet." Mide's voice cut through her deep thoughts and she sat up.

She gave him a cold look as he walked into the office. He look stressed, like he didn't sleep at all through the night. well, she couldn't sleep too when she turned fully awake at 1 am. "Where have you been? I have been calling your phone but it was.." he leaned over and covered his lips with hers.

"I am sorry." He breathed, towering over her as their face were few inches apart. "my sunshine looks so worried."

Obi pushed the sit back from him to get a better view. Waiting for an explanation why he didn't call her through the evening or this morning. Why was she suddenly growing some anger inside?

"I am sorry...I have been busy and I have to attend to some things."

"Like?"

"Uh-oh, I think I am getting the other side of my baby today."
