She was tapping her foot on the cold marble, waiting for him to open the door.

"Madam..." Sarah began. "You said I shouldn't touch the jollof rice you are cook...."

Lola snickered. "You should get it by now that our madam is really in a bad mood. Once that door opens, let's not wait till she blows up."

"That's not funny." Obi said.

"One more thing," her friend ignored her comment. "Sometimes she cooks whenever she's angry.... My personal advice, don't taste it because it will be salty!"

"Lol!"

"Sarah!" Lola sang, pulling Sarah with her.

The door opened to reveal the man of the hour looking around expectantly. Harrison was no more in his office wear but a faded jean pant that hung lowly around his waist and a white tee shirt with few buttons opened to reveal part of his toned shirt.

He stared back at her shockingly. Obi was not giving him the picture he painted in his mind. The thought was all over his face.

"Obi?" there came the little egoistic not too disappointed voice.

"Now don't you dare Obi me! " she stood up, crossing her arms over her chest. "I am mad at you."

"That's obvious." he replied plainly.

"How could you? I told you how only this can work is when you try not to con-"

"I didn't. I haven't been home since morning and all I got as a welcome back is a fight." he shoved his hands into his jean pockets.

"That was millions!"

"It's not up to 0.5% of my money, stop complaining."

"I can't make that in many years to come."

"You already did in the morning."

"I'm returning them back. I only waited for you to put a call through to the manager and have them back. Those prices were outrageous."

He took some steps to get closer to her. "Wow.... This look good on you."

She followed his gesture to see he was staring at her new hairstyle, her cornrows. "Eyes here. Harrison, the saloon bill too was much. I just couldn't tell then to start pulling off the braid after they finished."

"As long as you look beautiful in them, I don't care about the price."

"I can buy my own clothes. They may not be designers but I will just love them since they are..."

"Obi. Please just stop for once. The money is not too much. You are my fiancée and this is the beginning."

"I won't let you."

"Not me." he shrugged and was standing right in her front now. "But my sister. She's going to make sure you're tired of it."

"Harry, the dress I fell in love with, I just left it in my wardrobe because of the price tag."

"It's obvious you didn't know some things about me during our six months relationship but baby, this is me."

Obi's eyes grew twice their size now. The endearment he used warmed her heart but she knew it was all for show. "I know I did not know you because you lied to me...."

"I'm sorry for that over and over again. Hey hey, look here." he used his thumb to turn her face back to him. "That came out wrong, I'm sorry. I'm still sorry about all that happened. Can we just go out this night? Without argument, like normal couple?"

She sighed audibly. "You are taking this too far."

"it doesn't mean anything." he shrugged, his eyes raked over her outfit. "I don't think we should go out anymore. I notice something is cooking from that angle, maybe we should just eat at home with some wine? I will go get it while you serve."
