Present Day
Nan Luo Gu Xiang
(Dayu's POV)
Qing's mother was very secretive when she asked me to come with her this evening.
"But dinner..?"
"Ma's sending you out for dinner.." Qing's mother absolutely refused to be called auntie, she'd already refer to herself as 'Ma' when she talked to me that first day Qing brought me here after we arrived from London.
And I guess her refusal to be called other than 'Ma' made or relationship become closer so quickly. I really find it easy to feel comfortable around her and Qing's other family too.
I'd only met them again barely a week and I already felt at ease with them. It was as if I had known them for years; which I do actually it I hadn't lost my memory.
So, when Qing told me that he'd sent me to his family home today, as he's finally going to his office; I was excited.
I had been preparing dinner with Qing's mother and his sister, before Qing's mother asked me to go and have a bath, in Qing's room at half past five pm.
When I came into the room, I saw that she'd prepared a set of clothing for me. A plain white shirt, purple wool sweater and a pair of black trousers. It did got me thinking that for dinner at home, these clothings sure look fancy. But because Qing's mother had prepared them, of course I'd wear them proudly.
When I got down at 6, Qing's mother was waiting for me in the living room. And she's holding a red and black cross striped wool jacket for me, telling me that she's sending me out somewhere for dinner.
Of course I was surprised. And confused. But I complied anyway when she ushered me out with her.
"Have fun Dayu ah!" Qing's sister waved at me from the kitchen, as she helped the cook to prepare dinner. She wasn't in the least bit surprised with this sudden change of plan. Wasn't I supposed to eat dinner with them?
