310/2015Wang Residence, Beijing
(Qing's POV)
"Wang Qing." Ma was suddenly standing beside me. And she's calling me by my full name.
What did I do wrong this time? I wonder. Either that or, she's going to talk about something serious.
I was watching Dayu, playing with our two dogs, Jun and Na, and my two year old nephew, Wang Jian, as my sister sat down on the bench, laughing at them, in my mother's garden.
Dayu. The source of my happiness. The man I fell crazily in love with at first sight, three years ago.
I vowed on his birthday back in 2012, the first year we were together; that I would make him fall for me.
And I made that vow every year for another two years.
Yet, it had already been 3 years, and here we are; three years after.
And he and I were still just best friends. On his part, at least.
"Confess." My mother said the word, like an order, "it had already been three years."
I sighed. That's the only thing that I hadn't done, to show Dayu of my feelings.
I had done everything else. I treated him like a prince. My prince. Everything he said, I would do. Everywhere he went, I would follow.
He wanted to see me be serious, so I opened a Hot Pot Restaurant and proved to him, I could make the restaurant up and running for as long as I wanted to.
I made him, my most important person, everything I did, he would know about it first. I made sure, he knew that his opinion mattered the most to me. He's the only one, whose opinion I listened to. Apart from my mother.
I took him with me everytime I went back home. I used to go back once in a month but my mother insisted that we go home every fortnightly, together.
I also made sure that Dayu knew that I never brought any of my friends home with me before. Not even those who had been with me since I was a kid.
He knew it since I brought him home, with me on my birthday back in 2013. A few days after we became room mate.
