Wulfenite: A Steven Universe Story

Chapter 1

After a long day of exploring earth, Wulfenite came home to this cave. It was raining, something he had seen before. He got alarmed the first time, since it has been a while since he saw it back on the planet Lapenite, but he got quite used to it. Sometimes, he even enjoyed it. Wulfenite laid down on his bed and replayed the day in his head. Today he discovered a kindergarten, a pretty big one as well. Around the kindergarten was nothing. Just some rocks. All plantlife died and couldn't grow there. It made him realize that gem production was harmful to the planet. After discovering the kindergarten, he flew to a place far from home. There, he found Pink Diamond's palanquin. "Mom... you were the one who understood me the best, but you were more like a sister to me." He peeked inside. Nothing. He shed a tear and took off.

He smiled to himself, he really began to respect the earth. He really liked it there! He took one last glance at the setting sun and fell asleep, still thinking about his dearest and where she could be.

"Are you sure? Maybe he's one of them..." Wulfenite woke up to a weird sound. It was chatter and not just any chatter, children's chatter. He yawned and crawled out of his cave. There stood some kids. They looked terrified of the big gem in front of them. "Uh, hey! Can I help you humans?" The three kids stood there, until one said: "Uhm... Chris said that you belonged to those ladies at the temple, is that true?" Wulfenite was confused: "What do you mean? Temple?" The kids laughed. "He looks so confused! Maybe it's because he lost his mind. Who else sleeps in a hole on a hill?" Wulfenite blushed. "Anyway," The one kid continued; "in Beach City, which is right over there, there's-" The kid was interrupted by a female voice coming from a distance, calling the boys. "Sorry, we need to go. Just go to Beach City." The kids ran off. Wulfenite thought to himself: "Beach City? Temple? I should scope it out..." Wulfenite got his boots on, but when he wanted to put on his cape, it was blown away by a gust of wind. He ran after it, right into the place called Beach City. He ran and tried to snatch it from the wind, but to no success. A while later, he jumped from a building onto his cape. It was a house with red roof and a treehouse in the front yard. Wulfenite glanced inside, but quickly realized his nosiness and walked away trough the streets, towards the beach. The city looked quite nice. How did he never notice this was there? Or did he just forget? Wulfenite shrugged at the idea and walked on.
