Wulfenite: A Steven Universe Story

Prologue: Chapter 14

Wulfenite and Lapis landed on earth. "Look at that! Is that a rebel base?" Wulfenite said as he pointed to a big tower. "It looks like the one I was locked in." Lapis commented. "Should we investigate?" Wulfenite asked. Lapis took Wulfenite's hand and pulled him away from the tower. "No. We came here for sightseeing, not for battling." "You're right..." Wulfenite said. The two decided to walk around on earth. After a couple minutes, the gems encountered a beach. "Woah, a sea!" Lapis said fascinated. She ran into the water. "Lapis? Wait for me!" Wulfenite yelled as he followed Lapis into the water. "This is amazing! So much water!" Lapis said as she made a giant fist. "I can make everything in here!" Lapis smashed the fist into Wulfenite, who quickly dove out of the way. "Hey, watch it!" Wulfenite yelled. Lapis giggled: "Sorry!" Lapis and Wulfenite fooled around in the water until sunset. Wulfenite ran out of the water and fell on his back on shore. Lapis followed and laid down next to him. "Look at that giant star. It's so romantic." Lapis said. "Right?" Wulfenite said; "Pink mom called that star the sun. A weird name, but easy to remember." Lapis crawled close to Wulfenite, who put his arm around Lapis. "Shall we spend the night here?" Wulfenite asked. No response. "Lapis? Did you hear my proposal?" Wulfenite looked next to him. Lapis was sleeping. "I think I got my answer. I'll stay awake and keep an eye out for rebels." Wulfenite said as he enjoyed the last moments of the sunset.

The sun came up behind Wulfenite. "Hm? The sun is up?" Wulfenite was surprised; "That was quick." He looked next to him. Lapis was still sleeping. Her snoring was still very cute. Wulfenite gave Lapis a kiss. "I'll let her sleep for a bit. I might sleep a bit, too." Wulfenite said as he closed his eyes. A while later, a giant explosion woke up Wulfenite. "What was that?" Wulfenite said frightened. Lapis woke up, too. "Y'know, you could just shake me awake." Lapis said. "That wasn't me who woke you up. It was a giant explosion, coming from the tower." "An explosion!?" Lapis said. Wulfenite put Lapis on his back and flew towards the tower. When they arrived, there was a smoldering mess. "What could've caused this?" Lapis asked. Wulfenite dug through the ruins. Then, he found something. "It's a ship part. I know this one... It's from Homeworld! What's a Homeworld ship doing here?" Wulfenite feared the worst. Suddenly, the gems heard screaming. They both ran towards the sound. Upon reaching the origin of the sound, they saw a Jasper taking on multiple Amethysts. "Is that... oh my stars!" Wulfenite yelled. "What? Who is that?" Lapis asked. "Remember when I told you about the fight I had with a Jasper?" Wulfenite asked. Lapis nodded. "Well, this is the one." Lapis gasped: "What is she doing here?!" "She's getting revenge." Wulfenite said. Wulfenite flew towards Jasper. "Hey Jasper! Long time no see!" Wulfenite said. Jasper punched an Amethyst in the face and turned to Wulfenite: "Oh, it's you. Here to stop me?" "Nah, I'll let you do your thing." "Surprising." "What can I say? Anyway, did you crash your ship in that tower?" Wulfenite asked. Jasper looked at the tower. "Yeah, that's my handiwork." "How are you going to get back home?" "I am home. This is the place I was made. I have to clean it up. It's been overrun with rebels." "I wouldn't do that. By doing that, you declare war on the rebellion." "I don't care. We're going at war anyway." "True, but we're not ready yet. We need more time. You'll get your revenge." "But I want it now! They killed my Diamond! Your Diamond! How are you not engulfed with rage!?" "I am furious. Just like you. But I am saving it for the time we go all out on this puny planet. Our victory will be all the sweeter." Jasper calmed down. "I guess you're right..." Wulfenite patted Jasper on the shoulder: "Let's go back to Homeworld." "How?" Jasper asked. "Wulfenite waved his cape in front of Jasper's face. "Oh, right."

Wulfenite and Jasper walked back to the tower. Lapis had put out the fire. "Sorry for leaving you, Lapis." Wulfenite said as he gave her a hug. "Don't worry about it." Lapis said. "Oh, this is Jasper! Lapis, Jasper. Jasper, Lapis." "So you replaced your Pearl with a Lapis?" Jasper asked. "Not at all! Pearl and I had no relationship! She was my assistant." Wulfenite said with a red face; "Pearl went rogue, anyway. She teamed up with Rose." "So she kills your mom and steals your Pearl and you're not hunting her down right now? The self control on you is remarkable." Jasper said. "Yeah, must be the genetics from the lab." Wulfenite said. "Okay, let's leave. I've seen enough." Wulfenite said. Lapis summoned her wings and Wulfenite flew up. They both grabbed an arm of Jasper, lifted her up and flew her back to Homeworld.

Wulfenite and Lapis dropped Jasper off at Yellow Diamond's training facility. "Home sweet Homeworld!" Wulfenite said. Jasper thanked the gems and walked into the facility. "Another job well done. I'm glad she didn't go mad at the sight of me." Wulfenite said. "Maybe she learned her lesson?" Lapis suggested. "That would be the only logical reason." Wulfenite stretched his arms and checked his armpad. "Oh, a message from Blue mom!" Wulfenite opened the video. "Hey kid! We moms have had a little talk and we've decided a definitive date for the war on earth! It will take place in thirty star cycles! We will begin preparations on the day before and you need to be there. We will we will rock them! See you soon!" The video ended. "She seems enthusiastic." Lapis commented. "I can't blame her. She's been the most emotional about Pink's death. Even more than Jasper!" "Really? But Jasper was way more violent!" "Yes, but everyone mourns in their own way. Mine is by not thinking about it and moving on. I've walked in on Blue crying in Pink's room seven times! And I rarely visit Pink's room!" Wulfenite said with a shocked look on his face. Lapis giggled. Wulfenite laughed too. "Okay, let's go back to our home." Wulfenite said. Lapis and Wulfenite traveled back to their room, but halfway through, they noticed a fleet of asteroids. They figured to have a asteroid fight. It went on for the whole day. After the rocks were all smashed, they finally decided to go home. "That sure was fun! Can't wait 'til the next meteor shower!" Wulfenite said. "Me too, it was surprisingly fun!" Lapis said. Wulfenite kicked the door in and jumped into bed. Lapis closed the door and laid down next to Wulfenite. "Goodnight, Lapis." Wulfenite said. "Goodnight, Wulfie."
