Wulfenite had constructed a steel chair with restrainers, which were connected to an electricity circuit. On the chair sat the black gem. "What are you going to do? Shock me? Like I care..." She said. "We'll see." Wulfenite said. He activated the circuit and placed the rods on the gem's body. "Aaaaaarrgh!!" The gem roared. "Shocking, isn't it?" Wulfenite said with a straight face; "Ready to tell me everything?" "Tch, fine... Your precious gem friends are on Homeworld. I was sent here to extract them. They know all about you and the Diamonds needed extra information about you." "Bad move, girl." "Hey, it's not like I wanted this. I was forced to go here and if I didn't succeed, I would be shattered." "Sounds like Homeworld alright. Everyone here on earth is on the shatter list, but they can't get us here. Unless they send you. I've never seen one of your kind though..." "Maybe it's because I'm a new addition to the Homeworld arsenal. I was created a year ago for the sole purpose of capturing rogue gems. Mainly from earth." "That explains it... I have one more question, why didn't you just extract me?" "Didn't you see what you just did? You're a Diamond destroyer! You wouldn't come quietly. You even woke up when I landed on the roof." "Well, I am pretty cool..." Wulfenite said smug. The gem wriggled around on the chair: "So, are you going to let me go?" Wulfenite looked at the gem: "Not until I get backup." Wulfenite grabbed Peridot's tablet and called Steven.
"We came as soon as you called! What's going on?" Steven yelled. Wulfenite pointed at the gem sitting in the chair: "This is a new Homeworld gem who abducted Lapis and Peridot. She can create portals and teleport, but not when she's tied to a chair, apparently. By the way, what's your name?" Wulfenite asked the gem. "The name's Epidote. Nice to meet you all." "Don't give us that! You abducted our friends!" Steven yelled. "Calm down, Steven. I've had a talk with her after I called you. It's alright." "Indeed. Calm down, little human. I mean no harm." "You're the same size as me..." Steven murmured under his breath. After a quick talk, he went ahead and introduced the gems to Epidote. A while later, he asked Epidote a question: "So, Epidote, are you able to send all of us to Homeworld so we can rescue our friends?" "Easy breezy. I can even join your expedition. If, of course, you trust me." Wulfenite whispered to Pearl: "Looks like we've got ourselves another Amethyst." Pearl laughed behind her hand. Ruby said: "We can't afford to lose more friends. We need to save them. Since we haven't found Sapphire yet, she won't tag along. Let's go." Ruby got closer to Epidote; "And you better not try anything funny." "Calm down. I won't." Epidote said. Wulfenite released Epidote and shortly after, a portal appeared. Pearl stepped in first and then signaled that the other gems were safe to enter. Epidote followed into the portal, then Steven, then Amethyst, then Ruby and finally, Wulfenite. He took a final glance at the barn: "Well, Until we meet again, Pumpkin." Pumpkin was sleeping on the floor under the hammock. Wulfenite shed a tear and went into the portal, off to Homeworld.
"And here we are." Epidote said as the gems exited the portal. They found themselves in some sort of kindergarten. "Hey, I remember this place..." Steven said while looking around; "This is where Lars died!" Wulfenite looked at Steven: "Why do you sound so happy?" "Well, he didn't die forever. I have the power to revive organic beings... I think. So far I've only revived Lars." "That's amazing! I knew mom could do that, but you? I mean, it makes sense..." "What do you mean it makes sense?!" Epidote yelled at the gems; "This is Rose Quartz! Quartzes can't revive things!" Wulfenite and Steven stressed. "T-that's right! We were just rambling." Wulfenite said quickly. Epidote looked away with a suspicious look. "Anyway, Steven, since you've been here, you must know the way to the Diamond headquarters." Amethyst said. "Uh, I'm fine with Steven leading the way, but don't forget that all of us come from Homeworld." Wulfenite said as he looked back at Pearl, Epidote and Ruby. "Alright! Just follow me!" Steven said positively as he marched to the exit. "Let's hope we find Peridot and Lapis..." Pearl said to Ruby. "Oh, don't worry. We'll find them. With force if necessary." Ruby said as she cracked her knuckles. "So, Epidote, where did you send Lapis and Peridot to?" Pearl said. Epidote turned around: "Well, I've sent them to the jail section of the Diamond headquarters. Tricky to get in, even trickier to get out." "Not if you've had access to the facility for many years." Wulfenite said. "I suppose not." Epidote said confused. "Are you new, Epidote?" Wulfenite asked. "Kinda, yeah. I'm one year old. I've told you that, didn't I?" "Oh yeah, you did. Anyway, I am Wulfenite: son of the Diamonds! I was made on the now infamous planet s3xl with the purpose of keeping order when the Diamonds didn't know what to do. I'm a composition of numerous gems and the only male gem known to gemkind." "That explains a lot... Interesting stuff, Wulfenite!" "Oh well, I'm a pretty interesting being." The gems approached a big building. "Is this the Diamond mansion?" Steven asked. He turned around and saw Pearl and Wulfenite looking up at the towering structure. "They've made quite an expansion..." Wulfenite said shocked. Pearl nodded in agreement: "They even added another twenty watchtowers like they said." "Anyway, we can't keep Peridot and Lapis waiting! Let's go!" Wulfenite yelled as he opened the doors. The gems walked into the giant building.
