Wulfenite walked into the temple. Steven sat on the couch with the gems looking worried at him, until Wulfenite asked: "What's going on here?" "Thank the stars you're here." Steven said; "The gems won't cooperate. I was hoping you could make them talk." Wulfenite looked confused at the gems and back to Steven. "What do you need from them? Why do they need to talk?" Steven whispered into Wulfenite's ear: "They called Peridot 'traitorous Homeworld trash'" "WHAT?!" Wulfenite was infuriated. He turned to the gems and said slowly: "Did you guys call my green cutie traitorous Homeworld trash?" "What?" Pearl said; "We would never! We said and I quote: 'you'd have to want to destroy Homeworld, unless you're traitorous Homeworld trash.'" Steven's face drew pale and he fell on the floor. "So, Peridot misunderstood you?" Steven said as he stood up. "That's all." Amethyst said calmly. "Then, I don't see a problem with the situation." Wulfenite said. "Neither do I," Steven said; "but did you guys genuinely think the rocket would work?" "We thought the shields were down." Pearl said. Wulfenite chuckled a bit: "The shields never go down. You should know, since we spent a long time there. You were there when I installed the shields." Pearl blushed in embarrassment. "Anyway, the rocket is gone and Homeworld won't come here soon. Sounds like everything's solved." Wulfenite said. He stretched his arms and said: "So, when is the next mission?" The crystal gems laughed. Garnet stood up and said: "Soon. We'll come get you once it's time." "Sounds good. By the way Steven, I didn't know you had a laptop." "I don't, it's my friend Connie's laptop. Did you know Connie is a master swordsman?" Wulfenite raised an eyebrow: "Is she a gem too?" "Nope." Wulfenite scratched his hair. "I taught her how to fight." Pearl said, who'd magically appeared right behind Wulfenite. Wulfenite asked: "So she knows about gem stuff and is okay with it?" "Weird, right?" Steven said; "Would you like to meet her? She might even want to battle you." "Yeah, sure! I'm always open for new friends. Let's meet soon." Wulfenite said; "For now, I'll be off!" Wulfenite hugged Pearl who was still standing next to him, said his goodbyes and flew off, back to the barn.
"I'm back!" Wulfenite yelled as he dive bombed in front of the barn. Peridot and Lapis were watching their favorite show. "Welcome back, Wulfie!" Lapis yelled and she waved at Wulfenite. Wulfenite flew up to the couch and stood behind it: "Camp Pining Hearts? Again? Doesn't this show ever quit?" The gems didn't react. Wulfenite sighed and took a seat between Lapis and Peridot, who both clamped onto his arms. The three of them kept watching episode after episode, until the very next day.
