The sun rose. Peridot woke up earlier, as usual, and Wulfenite woke up a bit later. "Good morning, well-detailed individual with desirable traits." Peridot said. Wulfenite smiled and said: "Good morning, Peri. For how long have you been up?" "Exactly 15 minutes and 47 seconds." Peridot answered. "I could've beaten that for sure..." Wulfenite said salty. He jumped out of bed, with Peridot on his shoulder. He put her down and grabbed his cape. "Let's greet the-!" Wulfenite was interrupted by pumpkin, who shapeshifted into Amethyst. "Hey, Wulfenite! Are you ready to go to the kindergarten?" Wulfenite was confused and shocked. He said: "B- But I thought Garnet was going with me?" "Nope, she said I could go. She had business in the desert or something, so now I'm taking you!" Amethyst told Wulfenite. "Well, okay then..." Wulfenite said confused. He waved Peridot goodbye and walked outside. Then, Pearl jumped out of the cornfield. "How dare you!" Pearl said; "You stole my plan!" "No I didn't," Amethyst furiously answered; "I was assigned by Garnet to take Wulfenite to the kindergarten!" "No you weren't! Garnet would never leave such important tasks to you!" Pearl yelled. "What do you mean by that?!" Amethyst shouted. Peridot noticed the commotion and got outside too. Wulfenite noticed Peridot's presence and could see this going wrong. He quickly interfered by saying: "Guys! Guys! Calm down. I can't take both of you, so let's just wait for Garnet to-" "NO!" Pearl and amethyst yelled together. Pearl summoned her spear, saying: "Get out of my way, Amethyst. I'm taking Wulfenite." Amethyst summoned her whip: "Not a chance, P. He's mine." Wulfenite took a step back and stood in front of Peridot, protecting her from the two gems. Peridot understood why he did it, but she also wanted to see the fight, so she climbed onto Wulfenite's shoulder and sat there. Amethyst charged at Pearl, whipping her spear and pulling it towards her. Pearl got pulled towards Amethyst in the process, cashing in a foot to the stomach. Pearl stood up from the shock and threw her spear towards Amethyst, but Amethyst threw a rock in front of her, which flew, after blocking the spear, towards Peridot and Wulfenite. Wulfenite saw it approaching and stopped the giant rock with one hand. Meanwhile, Pearl had kicked up a whirlwind, trying to throw Amethyst off. It didn't work. Wulfenite shielded himself and Peridot from the gust with his cape. "Wow, these clods really like you, don't they?" Peridot said. "I guess so, but that's weird. I have a girlfriend, y'know." Wulfenite answered. "I understand, but I don't think they quite got the message. They are too primitive to understand, I suppose." "I don't believe that, but it's something like that. Anyway, I have to stop this fight." Wulfenite stomped the ground, giving Amethyst and Pearl a shock. "Just in time." It was Garnet. She finally made her way to the barn. "I knew I couldn't trust you two to take orders. Thankfully, Wulfenite could stop you two before it was too late." Garnet winked at Wulfenite, but he didn't notice since she was wearing her visor. She turned back to Amethyst and Pearl: "I'm going with Wulfenite and you two are going to spend the day with Steven, which is also fun." Pearl and Amethyst walked towards the warp pad, going back to the temple. "I tried to talk them into stopping, but I'm not very good at that." Wulfenite said shyly. Garnet said: "Don't worry, you have a lot to learn, so let's get started by learning about gem history on earth." Wulfenite waved Peridot goodbye and got on the warp pad, heading to the kindergarten.
