Wulfenite: A Steven Universe Story

Prologue: Chapter 8

Wulfenite's ship touched down near the hangars of Pink Diamond. The hangars looked perfectly fine, except for one. "Woah, look at that one! It's covered in green stuff." Wulfenite said to Pearl. "That must be moss. It's an organic structure from the planet earth." Pearl explained. "That proves these are Pink's hangars. Because she's a fan of earth stuff, right? Anyway, let's go." Wulfenite went straight to the hangar, followed by Pearl, who firmly held on to Wulfenite. Wulfenite broke the lock on the doors by pulling the two doors apart and peeked through the crack. He saw a ring with two Rubies who were fighting each other. "This is bad." Wulfenite said. "You can say that again." Pearl said, who was also peeking, right under Wulfenite. "Time to interfere." Wulfenite said and he busted through the door. "What is going on in here?!" He yelled menacingly. "Who the- oh no! It's that Diamond kid!" "That's right, I'd surrender if I were you gals!" Wulfenite summoned his staff. "Not so fast, Diamond boy." Came from a dark corner. There sat a Jasper. "Hey! You're that Jasper I saw at the kindergarten on earth!" Wulfenite said with a smile on his face. Jasper stood up and whilst slowly walking towards Wulfenite, she said: "Pink Diamond is obsessed with you. You think you're the man. Well let me tell ya something: You're going down." "What are you proposing?" Wulfenite said with a smug look. "How about a round in the ring. The winner shatters the opponent, no excuses." "Oh you're on, little one!"

A while later, Wulfenite stood in the ring with Pearl behind the ropes. "You got this! This Jasper is nothing compared to you!" Pearl said as she folded Wulfenite's cape. "Yeah, but she has lost her mind. I'll have to bring her back. Back to Pink Diamond." A Ruby smashed her fist on the floor and yelled: "Fight!" Wulfenite stood up and walked to the middle. "Come on, Wulfie!" Pearl yelled. "So what are the ground ru-" Wulfenite tried to ask but was interrupted by a fist to the face. "Okay then, no rules." Wulfenite said and he charged into Jasper, who flew out of the ring against the wall of the hangar. Wulfenite jumped from the ropes and smashed his fist next to where Jasper landed. Jasper ran back to the ring, followed by Wulfenite. Using the ropes, Jasper fired herself into Wulfenite's stomach, making him fall on his back. Wulfenite smashed his fist onto the ground in anger and stood up. He dashed towards Jasper and pushed her into his corner, where Pearl hit her with a stool. "Nice one, Pearl!" Wulfenite yelled and he gave her a thumbs up. Jasper almost lost consciousness and she fell onto her knee. Wulfenite kicked Jasper in the face with a somersault, which was enough to poof her. "Yeah! You guys want some too?!" Wulfenite yelled at the Rubies, who ran towards the back of the hangar. "I'm joking! Get over here." Wulfenite picked Jasper up from the ground: "This is an example of jealousy gone wrong. This kind of gem is a danger to others. As a Diamond representative, I am not going to shatter her." "That's awfully kind of you." A ruby said. "What do you mean?" Wulfenite asked. "If it was for the Diamonds, they'd already shattered her." "Stop lying before I poof you too!" The ruby saw the danger and stopped talking. "Okay, Rubies. I won't report you gals, if you help me clean this hangar. I just got a message saying that I can have this hangar, so of course I want it clean." Wulfenite said. "Sure, we'll help you." The leading ruby said. "Thank you, visor Ruby. Ok then, let's get to work!" Wulfenite said.

A couple minutes later, the hangar was looking great. The rubies had fused to reach the top of the hangar and clean it. Wulfenite took care of the interior and Pearl kept an eye on the bubbled Jasper. "Okay, now that this is done, it's time to go back to the Diamonds. To which one do you gals belong?" Wulfenite asked with a stutter. "We... don't know actually. We've been here for so long. It wasn't until Jasper found us that we forgot who our Diamond was." "Then I guess I am your new Diamond." Wulfenite said; "I'll recruit you gals on missions, or send you guys on missions separate from me. Alright. Get on board of my ship. You guys's first mission is to go report Jasper's illegal businesses here. Don't let her get shattered. I assume that won't be a problem, though." "Right-0, Wulfenite." The leader Ruby said. "Okay then. Let's go." Wulfenite, Pearl and the Rubies got on board the ship and flew back to Homeworld.
