Wulfenite walked through Little Homeworld. His work really did pay off! He found it perfect in every way. He eventually found himself facing the front door of the greenhouse. As he looked through the window, he saw Peridot teach some gems about the plants. "I never liked school, but since I am a Homeworld refugee too, I might just check this class out. After all, plant life never really interested me. Heck, everything I learned was only to find Lapis! So this is the perfect opportunity to add some plantlife knowledge to my mind. Eh, what do I have to lose? There's nothing left to save, so I have all the time in the world." Wulfenite opened the door and walked in.
"Wulfenite! Welcome to my class. What brings you here?" Peridot said. "Hello all. I came to see if you still take in applicants." Wulfenite said. "If you're asking if you can attend my horticulture class, you're welcome to do so. I was teaching my class about how plants reproduce. Very simple stuff." Peridot said. Wulfenite looked at the class. Some gems looked away scared, but most were thrilled to see the famous Wulfenite. Wulfenite stood next to a cherry quartz. "Wulfenite. What a pleasure to finally meet you." She said. "It's nice to meet you too, uh," "C-Cherry Quartz." "Right. Cherry Quartz." "Uhm, I actually know you from back on Homeworld. I saw you on stage during the war preparations. It's a shame what happened there." "You were there? Stars, I'm so sorry you had to witness that. What actually happened after I left?" "Well, Yellow D-Diamond went on a rampage, and then she canceled the whole event. She and the other Diamonds left the palace and we only saw them return a few days later." "Strange... Oh well, the past is the past. It's all good now, luckily." "Indeed. Well, I have to start paying attention before I get scolded." Cherry Quartz said with a nervous giggle.
"And that's all for today. You have your assignments, I'll be here tomorrow to grade them. Until then, students." All the gems left the greenhouse. "And? Did you learn anything interesting today?" Peridot asked Wulfenite. "I'd say so. Plants are more similar to gems than humans when it comes to reproduction. We also just plant seeds in the ground." "It's quite droll when you think about it. Anyway, I'm going to water the plants for a bit. I'll see you back at the barn later today, okay?" "You got it, Peri. See ya!" Wulfenite said as he exited the greenhouse. As he did so, he saw Lapis walk by. "Lapis!" He yelled. Lapis turned around and saw Wulfenite waving at her. "Hey Wulfenite! Do you wanna come check out my class?" "You teach a class? That's amazing, Congratulations! Of course I'll come." Wulfenite walked towards Lapis and together they headed to the class. "So, what are you teaching?" Wulfenite asked. "Well, since art was already taken, I figured I'd give sculpturing classes. I used to be a terraformer, remember?" "Of course I do. But that's great! I'm glad you found a way to boost our gem community." "However I can help, right?" Lapis said as she opened the door to the watchtower. "It's on top of this tower. I usually fly there, but there's no rush." Lapis explained.
"Right? It's totally fake! There's no way Aquamarines really have that accent. 'Oi, pass me that bottol of wotah'." Wulfenite said jokingly. "I wouldn't say it too loud, the Aquamarine inside of you might get upset." Lapis said with a giggle. The two had reached the top of the watchtower. "The other students will be here in a moment. Y'know, it's been a while since we last had-" "Woah, Lapis! Save it for after class." Wulfenite said blushing. Soon enough, the class arrived. "Cherry Quartz? You take this class too?" Wulfenite asked as he saw Cherry Quartz approach. "Wulfenite! What a surprise." Cherry Quartz said happily; "Yes, I attend almost every class. I don't attend physical classes, like sports or forgery, but apart from those-" "Alright everyone, settle down. Class is about to start." Lapis announced. Wulfenite went and stood behind a big block of marble, almost the size of himself. "Okay class, we will be starting this semester with a big project. Everyone has a block of marble in front of them. At the end of the semester, everyone must present a sculpture that represents one of these famous earthling statues. Choose from either of these three." Lapis held out three pictures and hung them on the whiteboard behind her; "If you have any questions, I'm here to answer them. Good luck and have fun!" Everyone walked up to the whiteboard to draw inspiration. Wulfenite looked at the statues. "Hm, it's a good thing she got pictures of every angle, but that won't make it easy... I've never done this before!" He thought. He eventually chose a statue and started molding. "Okay, let's start with one tiny-" Wulfenite chopped the statue with his hand and created a big dent in the block. "Wulfenite, you're probably better off using the provided tools." Lapis explained. Wulfenite looked at the stool next to him and saw the tools lying there. "Ah, of course. Sorry, Ms. Lazuli." Wulfenite chuckled.
"Okay, everyone! Class is almost over, so stop what you're doing and I'll be walking around grading your progress." Lapis announced as she approached the first student. Wulfenite dropped his tools in joy. "Hey Cherry! What do you think?" He asked. Cherry Quartz looked at his sculpture: "W-woah! That's amazing! I see you chose for the Venus statue. And you did all of this just now?" "Yeah, I guess I went super fast without knowing, or something." "I-It's great, b-but did you intend to turn Venus into Ms. Lazuli?" Cherry Quartz asked. "Uh, not when I began sculpting... But I think I prefer it this way. Plus, Lapis looks good as an armless goddess." Wulfenite said proudly. "My my, Wulfenite! That's... fast!" Lapis said as she approached his sculpture. "This looks amazing! Or should I say, I look amazing! I'll get back to you." Lapis stated; "Mind staying after class?" "I was already planning on it, so sure." Wulfenite said with a grin. Lapis continued grading the progress of the other students, while Wulfenite and Cherry Quartz resumed their chat.
