Wulfenite landed in front of his room with Lapis in his arms. "Here we are!" Wulfenite said as he put Lapis on the ground. Lapis was still shaking. "Oh, I'm so sorry! Did I fly too fast?" Lapis got to her senses and said: "Woah, you sure know how to get somewhere fast." Wulfenite chuckled and said: "Yeah, it's something to get used to." "I don't think I'll ever get used to THAT speed." Wulfenite smiled and opened the doors. "Ah, home sweet home." Lapis looked around. "There's only one bed." Lapis mentioned. "Oh, right. I'll handle it." Wulfenite put his hands around the bed. "Nonono! It's alright!" Lapis exclaimed just in time. "Okay then." Wulfenite said as he let go of the bed. Lapis looked at Wulfenite and asked: "Why is there even a bed here?" "To sleep in?" Wulfenite said surprised; "I picked the whole sleeping habit up from earth. People there sleep a lot. Like, every night." "And now you do too?" "I try not to, but it's so relaxing to do. You should try it sometime!" Wulfenite suggested. "Maybe I will." Lapis said. Wulfenite jumped on the bed: "So, what shall we do now?" Lapis sat down on the bed. "Woah, this is soft!" "Right?" Wulfenite sat upright. "Let's save sleeping for tonight. Let's go to t-" Wulfenite got interrupted by his armpad flashing violently. "Message from Yellow mom?" Wulfenite played the recording. "Wulfenite, come meet me at the training facility. And don't bring your cape. We have something to discuss." Lapis and Wulfenite looked at each other. "Sounds serious." Lapis said. "Indeed." Wulfenite stood up and threw his cape on the chair. "The training facility is quite far. How does she expect me to get there?" "I could fly you." Lapis said; "I can fly too, remember?" Wulfenite smiled: "But of course! Let's go right away!" Wulfenite pointed at the roof. "...What are you doing?" Lapis asked. "Heroic pose!" Wulfenite whispered.

Lapis and Wulfenite arrived at the training facility. "Good luck!" Lapis said as she gave Wulfenite a kiss. "Thanks Lapis. I'll see you later, okay?" Wulfenite waved Lapis goodbye and entered the facility. It was dark inside. Wulfenite looked around. He tapped his gem a few times until it lit up. "Neat." Wulfenite said. He had learned that trick when he read through his data file on his arm pad. "You know, Lapises aren't meant for being slaves of important gems." It was Yellow Diamond. "Mom? Where are you?" Wulfenite asked. Suddenly, the lights turned on. "Here I am, dear." Wulfenite turned around and saw Yellow sitting in a chair. "Hey mom! Yeah, you're right, but she isn't my slave. She is my friend. At least, she hasn't really said so and neither have I, but I think we both know it's the case." Yellow stood up. "Look at you. Why Lapis? Why not something stronger, like a Jasper, Bismuth or Amethyst?" "Because I really like Lapis! It isn't something you choose! Well, sometimes it is, but not in my case!" Yellow sighed silently: "Right. Okay Wulfenite, you must be wondering what you're doing here." Wulfenite nodded. "Well, it's time you knew. The gem war is coming." Yellow said as she turned to the windows; "We are declaring war against Rose Quartz and her insolent planet filled with rebels." Wulfenite got excited: "Great! I've been wanting to defeat that Rose. She's gonna pay for taking my mom from me. But where are we going to store the gems? I mean, there's an awful lot of gems on that rock." Yellow laughed. "Store? We are not storing anything. We will go down there and shatter each and everyone of them!" Wulfenite's eyes widened: "S-shatter?!" "Yes boy! We have the perfect mechanism for doing the job correctly. You will make our Homeworld proud." Wulfenite stepped back. "But I don't want to kill anybody!" Yellow's smile vanished. "What are you saying?" Yellow said as she stood up and approached Wulfenite. "If we shatter them, we're no better than them! They shattered one of us-" "EXACTLY! They shattered one of us! We need to exact revenge!" "Then go ahead, but I will not partake in the war!" Wulfenite yelled. Yellow closed her eyes and sighed: "I feared you'd say that." Wulfenite got scared. Yellow turned around with her hands emitting lightning: "I guess we'll just have to fix you back at the broken down lab." Yellow shot lightning at Wulfenite, who jumped out of the way. "You can't win this without your cape, boy. Surrender now and I won't reduce you to your gemstone." Yellow kept shooting at Wulfenite. Wulfenite pressed the blue button on his arm pad. "Okay, let's hope this works." Wulfenite said as he dodged Yellow Diamond. Wulfenite summoned his staff and deflected the bolt back at Yellow Diamond. "You bothersome gem! You are a failure!" Yellow yelled. "Mom please! Don't do this! It's not worth it!" "You weren't supposed to disobey, but here you are! Disobeying my every order." Yellow rushed forward and punched Wulfenite in the stomach. Wulfenite flew against the back wall. "Dang mom! You got a mean right hook!" Wulfenite said grunting. Suddenly, chains of water emerged from the ground, capturing Yellow Diamond. Lapis came from a hole in the ceiling. "Wulfenite! Over here!" Wulfenite stood up slowly and limbed towards Lapis. "Hurry! I... can't... hold her much... longer!" Wulfenite jumped onto Lapis's back and Lapis took off fast. Yellow jumped through the roof and continued to shoot lightning at the two. Wulfenite summoned his staff and shot back. "What happened in there?!" Lapis asked. "Mom wants to shatter the rebels in a war. I didn't want that to happen, so we got in a fight." "Good grief, that's a bad move on her part. You should've seen it coming. The Diamonds have shattered before." "Really? I thought they were joking!" Wulfenite said as he almost fell off of Lapis. "Anyway, take us back to our room. I need some rest. And a lock on my door." Wulfenite said as he held tightly onto Lapis.
