Lapis flew as fast as possible towards Homeworld. The Diamonds were Wulfenite's last option. If they couldn't help... Lapis quickly perished the thoughts. "No. I don't want to think about that. It will work." Lapis landed in front of the palace. She opened the doors and flew towards the throne room. There was no one there. "No sign of Blue or Yellow Diamond. Hm, but White should be around! I've only seen her leave Homeworld once." Lapis jumped up and flew to White Diamond's ship. Once she arrived, a loud voice stopped her dead in her tracks. "Lapis Lazuli. Enter." White Pearl came down from the ship, bubbled them both and flew back in the ship. The bubble popped in front of White Diamond. "What brings you here, dear?" White Diamond asked. "It's an emergency! Wulfenite's gem is cracked! Steven couldn't fix it! We need to heal him in the fountain with all the Diamonds!" Lapis hastily exclaimed. "But my dear, that bath was intended to heal corrupted gems! Not cracked gems." White stated. "I know that, but it's worth a try; it might work!" White Diamond hesitated, but eventually agreed. She called the other Diamonds immediately. "I will take care of this now. Keep Wulfenite safe." White said. "Thank you." Lapis said.

Meanwhile, Lars and his crew had gone to look for the other gems. Steven had sent them to the barn to get Peridot. "When she returns, we can send the space pirates to find the others. But finding Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl will be hard. Even I have no clue where they might be." Steven said. Wulfenite scratched his neck. Suddenly, the Crystal Gems warped in. "Wulfenite! I had a vision! Don't move!" Garnet said as she ran towards Wulfenite. "I'm not planning to, don't worry. "Gee Wulfs," Amethyst said; "what happened?" "It's a long story." Wulfenite said; "I'm just glad you are here now. My gem is one bump away from breaking. I've already lost my flashlight and summoning ability. I've asked Lapis to go look for the Diamonds so we can try to heal me. Steven couldn't do it. Maybe I'm too complex." All gems looked quizzically at Wulfenite. "So if the Diamonds don't succeed, will you..?" Pearl asked scared. "I won't crack, but I won't be able to move ever again either. I'll be like a talking statue, sown to the couch." Wulfenite said. Then, Lapis returned: "Good news! The Diamonds agreed to give healing you a try, Wulfie!" "That really is great news! I wish I could hug you, but my gem might not like that." Wulfenite said with a sad undertone. "I understand." Lapis turned to Steven: "You too need to bathe with the Diamonds." "Yeah yeah I know. I'm fine with that. If it can bring Wulfenite back, there's no challenge too challenging!" At last, Lars and the off colors returned. "We got a bit sidetracked, but we found someone who claims she knows you." Lars said. Behind him stood a big orange striped gem. "She tried to kill us when we approached her cave, but when we told her about you, that changed." Lars explained. Steven and the crystal gems were frightened at the sight of the gem. Wulfenite and Lapis, however, weren't. "Jasper! My word, how long has it been?" Wulfenite said. "Good to see you, Wulfenite." Jasper said. "Waitwaitwaitwait, you know each other?" Steven asked. "We met a long time ago. Why do you all look so startled?" Lapis asked. The gems all had scared looks on their faces. "Jasper has tried to kill me many times. She and Peridot arrived here to check up on the cluster, but Jasper came for another reason as well: Destroying Rose. She believed Rose shattered Pink. We had to subdue her." Steven stated. "That's in the past. Plus, I'm not here for you. I'm here for an old friend. I can call a truce for this occasion." Jasper said. "I'm keeping my eye on you." Garnet said. "Where is the green tiny one?" Jasper asked. "That's a good question." Pearl said. "Huh." Amethyst added. Pearl continued: "Where did you last leave her?" Suddenly, the warp pad activated and Peridot warped in: "Gems, I need to borrow some toowhaaaat?!" Everyone looked at Peridot, who was shocked at the sight: "Juh-Juh-Jasper!!" "Heh, there she is." Jasper said. "But why? Why are you here? Why are there so many people here?!" Peridot asked confused. "Come take a look." Wulfenite said as he showed his gem to her; "We've got something to fix. These off colors found it funny to slash my gem to pieces." "Hey, we only started it. The rest was your clumsiness." Lars said. Out of nowhere, everyone started talking through each other. Things were threatening to get out of control. "Everyone! Be silent please!" Steven exclaimed. Everyone stopped talking and looked at Steven. "No it wasn't! We were brainwashed!" Padparadscha added. Steven sighed. "We need to stop arguing! Wulfenite's gem won't heal from it. We need to be there for him and wait patiently for the Diamonds. They will come and fix his gem. Until then, let's try to keep the peace." Looks were exchanged. "Thanks, Steven." Wulfenite said with a smile.

Some time passed. Everyone was talking amongst themselves. Wulfenite, Lapis and Jasper had a conversation. "So, if the Diamonds fail in healing you, you can't fight anymore?" Jasper asked. "Nope, unless I have to, of course. I cannot sit idly by as everyone fights my battles, but those won't be happening anymore. Homeworld is peaceful, the whole galaxy knows that. Ultranite is securely bubbled in Garnet's room, so there are no more threats." "Hmpf, Don't count on me for protection. This planet means nothing to me. Maybe if they come for you, I might join in arms." "Thanks, Jasper." "I do hope you'll get fixed. This suspense is killing me!" Lapis said. "I have high hopes. The Diamonds told me they had developed new skills. Yellow is a healer too now." Wulfenite said. Then, the Diamond ship landed outside the temple. Everyone headed outside, with Wulfenite bubbled. "Watch your step, Wulfs." Amethyst said. "I got it, I got it." Wulfenite said with a focused look on his face. The Diamonds appeared from the ship. "My stars, your gem!" Blue Diamond said as tears shot into her eyes. "Looks worse than it is, believe me." Wulfenite said in an attempt to calm her. "This is bad, we need to act fast." Yellow stated. Garnet smashed a big hole into the ground and Lapis filled it up with water. The Diamonds took place in the pool. Steven jumped in too. He bubbled his arms so he would stay afloat. "This works. Okay, let's give it a try." Wulfenite said as he slowly slid into the pool. Everyone looked tensely at Wulfenite's gem, hoping anything would happen to it.
