Prologue: Chapter 11

Wulfenite and Lapis landed in front of the Diamond room. "So this is what it looks like from the inside... Fascinating!" Lapis said. "It is, right? Anyway, we need to report your return to the authorities. Let's go." Wulfenite and Lapis walked inside the Diamond room. "I'm back!" Wulfenite yelled. The room was empty, except for one entity. "Hello Wulfenite. Did you have fun?" It said. "W-white mom?" Wulfenite was baffled. "Of course it's me. You didn't forget I existed, right?" "Of course not, but you never come here!" "That's right, but now that Pink is gone, I took some days off." Wulfenite looked down. He too needed some days off. His mind kept getting blown. "Uh mom, I got Lapis back from the tower." Wulfenite said. "Ah! The lapis has returned. We've got plans for you yet. We need you to go terraform the planet S3xl. Go on!" Lapis saluted and left. "Why does she need to go there?" "No more questions, Wulfenite. Take the day off." Wulfenite was confused. "Okay then. Bye mom!" "Bye sweetie."

Wulfenite flew to s3xl. He wanted to visit Lapis while she was working. "I have nothing better to do. I haven't gotten any calls or assignments." He said on his way. Eventually, he arrived. It was just like he remembered it. Suddenly, he saw a giant Ruby tear apart the facility. "Hey! That's my home!" Wulfenite flew directly at the Ruby and pierced it with his fist. The Rubies unfused. "Hey! Why'd you do that?" A Ruby said. "You gals are destroying my house! I'd run, because-" "Wulfenite!" Blue Diamond yelled. "Uh oh." Wulfenite said silently. "Rubies, get out of here, quick!" Wulfenite turned around and saw Blue Diamond standing there, furious. "What do you think you are doing?" She said. "I thought they were-" "You thought? You don't undertake action until you are sure! You should know that!" "I know, I'm sorry." "You're lucky it isn't a big deal. Now, what are you doing here?" "I came here to see what is going on with my birthplace." "Oh. Well, we were getting rid of it, until you stopped us. We need more minerals and this lab is made out of a very rare one. We need more of this one, so we're taking it from here." Blue Diamond said. Wulfenite looked at the base: "Well, I guess you need to." "We're terribly sorry, Wulfenite. If there's anything I can do for you, let me know, okay?" Wulfenite wondered: "Say mom, can I have a gem from you?" "That depends. Which one?" "Ah, nothing big. Just one Lapis." "That is alright. You can take one and report to me which one via your arm pad. If you do that, it's alright." Wulfenite agreed. Blue smiled and walked away. Wulfenite flew up and looked around for Lapis. "Dang, there are a lot of Lapis around here." Wulfenite said sadly. "Well, guess I just have to fly around the planet to find her. At superspeed, of course."

After a while, Wulfenite finally found Lapis. She was working on a kindergarten. Wulfenite saw the water patches slowly filling up with water coming from the ground. "Dang, this looks great! Like the planet is not going to die of exhaustion." Wulfenite looked further and saw Lapis flying towards him. He waved, but it took her some time to recognize him. She finally noticed the obnoxious gem and said: "Hey, Wulfenite! What brings you here?" "Oh, you know. I had the day off, so I thought: why not spend it with you?" Lapis frowned: "That's really sweet, Wulfenite. But I have to work here." "Don't worry. I spoke with Blue Diamond and she said that you're now under my command. In other words, you can stop working here." "Really?! That's great! This means that we can just hang around all day! D-Does that also mean that I can join you on missions?" Wulfenite laughed. "Oh Lapis, that's way too dangerous. I can't get you hurt. How about I train you in combat first and then you can join me, okay?" "Fair enough." Lapis said. "Let's go to my room. You'll get to live there with me." Wulfenite said and he took off with Lapis at his side.
