Wulfenite landed the ship at the hangars. "The Diamonds must be very different, huh? I mean, now that you've told them about your, ahem, situation." Wulfenite said to Steven. "Yeah, they believe I am Pink's son. Now they listen to me and treat the gems of Homeworld more humane." "And what about the corrupted gems?" Wulfenite asked. "That'll take time. They're all going to get healed soon. The Diamonds have already agreed to restore them to their best efforts." "Steven, I am very proud of you. You really are something special." "I'll say!" Amethyst said. "He really is. Isn't he?" Pearl said with a smile. Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl all hugged Steven. "How precious." Wulfenite said smiling. Everyone exited the ship and headed to the throne room.
"Mom! I'm home!" Wulfenite yelled through the halls. "In here!" Blue yelled from inside the throne room. Wulfenite opened the doors and saw Blue and Yellow sitting in their thrones. "Thank the stars you're alright! Do you feel alright?" Blue asked. "Don't worry mom, I feel fine. I am the same old me." "What a relief. We've been improving things here on Homeworld, courtesy of Steven. Things are going the right direction. Homeworld will flourish!" "That makes me happy." Wulfenite said with a smile. Yellow sat upright and asked: "So what now? Will you go back to earth? You're always welcome here, you know." Wulfenite scratched the back of his head: "I'm so glad Homeworld is back to normal and that I am welcome here again, but all my friends are on earth. My life is on earth. I'm sorry, moms." "Oh don't worry, boy. As long as you come to visit us every once in a while, same goes for you Steven, we will be alright." Yellow said. Wulfenite let out a sigh of relief. "Thanks, mom. We'll come to visit soon!" "Take care out there!" Blue yelled as the gems left the throne room. The gems waved and walked away.
"Next stop, home!" Wulfenite said as he flew the gems right back to earth. "Oh I just can't wait to see where you live!" Spinel said excited. "I just know you're going to love it. It's nice and peaceful. But first, we'll need to prepare for the Diamonds. We need to save all the corrupted gems!" Wulfenite said. "Yeah! We need to bring them all to the fountain! That's a good place for them to get healed by all Diamonds at the same time." Steven said. "Okay! Once we get home, we'll start gathering all gems and then Wulfenite will go get the Diamonds!" Peridot said. "That's a plan!" Wulfenite said excited. He steered the ship back towards earth.
"Home sweet home! TV, here I come!" Steven yelled as he ran across the sand back to his house. Wulfenite had landed the ship in front of the house. Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl all left the ship. The others waited in the doorway. "Well then, I'll see you tomorrow?" Wulfenite said to Garnet with a sassy tone. Garnet smiled and said: "Don't be late. We'll see you at the fountain." "We as in the two of you or..?" "It wasn't funny the first time." Garnet said with a smile. Wulfenite chuckled. He turned around and saw the others gossiping. "Okay gals, let's go back to the barn." Wulfenite said. They all walked into the ship and the door closed. Wulfenite sat down behind the control panel and flew the ship to the barn.
"Oh man. it's been too long, bed!" Wulfenite said as he walked out the ship. Spinel jumped onto Wulfenite and said: "Wait... This is nothing like Homeworld!" "Right? That's what makes it feel like home. It's... well, unique!" Wulfenite said. Peridot and Lapis had already entered the barn. They were both rummaging around the television. Something fell from the elevated part of the barn. "My bad!" Peridot yelled as the metal parts flew back up. "You wanna know what they're doing?" Wulfenite asked Spinel. "What is it?" Spinel answered. "They're probably going to watch their favorite series; Camp Pining Hearts." "What's a series?" "I remember when I asked those questions." Wulfenite said. "You wanna watch with us?" Wulfenite asked, but Spinel declined. "Imma go explore the barn for a while." Wulfenite nodded and flew to the television and sat between Lapis and Peridot.
A while later, the episode concluded. Wulfenite stretched and got up. "Okay, time for me to get some rest. You two coming?" Wulfenite asked as he turned around. He saw Lapis and Peridot hurrying to put in the next tape. "Guess not." Wulfenite said to himself. He jumped back down. He looked around but noticed one glaring omission. Spinel was nowhere to be found. "Strange. Where could she be? I thought she was going to explore the barn?" Wulfenite scratched the back of his head; "Sleep will have to wait. I'll have to find Spinel first." Wulfenite went outside, but turned around one last time to check on Lapis and Peridot. They were both glued to the television. "They won't stray. Heck, they won't even know I'm gone." Wulfenite closed the barn door and looked over the yard. He flew up high to get a better view. He still couldn't find her. "Where is she?" Wulfenite said. "Right here." Wulfenite heard a defeated sigh coming from behind him. Spinel sat on top of the barn looking at her feet. "There you are! What's going on? Why are you up here? I don't know this part of you yet." Wulfenite said. "Wulfenite, do you think it's pointless to love someone whose heart belongs to someone else?" Spinel asked. Wulfenite was surprised, was this about him? "Uh, well, it might not be. Love is a strange emotion. It has free will and will use it whenever possible. We cannot control who we love and who we don't. We of course have our standards, but love is unpredictable. It may seem pointless to chase after someone who is taken, but you never know what the future holds. People move on and live other lives. There's always a chance. Especially since we are immortal." Wulfenite said. Spinel sighed a defeated sigh. Wulfenite sat down next to her: "Why? Is there someone in your life who is taken?" "It's complicated." Spinel said; "I mean, I really enjoyed the time we spent, even though it wasn't a long time. At first I thought I just missed her, but nowadays, I know the truth. I'm in love." Wulfenite was relieved. It wasn't about him, but this piqued his interest even more: "Can I ask you who it is?" "You certainly remember her. Epidote? Do you remember her?" Wulfenite felt a shock surging through his body: "Epidote? But she isn't taken!" "She has a girlfriend. Even though she's gone, it doesn't mean she's ready for a new relationship." "Are you certain? Maybe you could be the one she'll move on to. You spent time together, so why not? She has nothing else left in her life." "I don't know..." "Okay, you know what? Let's go back to her. You can't live with this feeling forever. We're gonna put your heart at ease with a definitive answer." Wulfenite picked Spinel up and rushed to S3xl. "What about Peridot and Lapis!?" Spinel asked, trying to reach Wulfenite through the wind. "They won't even notice me missing!" Wulfenite said back. Spinel tightened her grip as Wulfenite sped up.
