While Steven was calling his dad back, Wulfenite was lifting the spaceship from the ocean. Lapis drained the water from the inside of the ship: "Okay, it's done. You may enter." Lapis said. "Why thank you." Wulfenite said and he entered the ship. Lapis followed Wulfenite inside. Both were looking around and saw the horrible state the ship was in. "Looks pretty bad." Lapis said; "Do you think you can fix it?" Wulfenite rubbed his chin: "Probably, but I'll need some parts. First, I need to check if the board is still intact, because it has the blueprint. Once I have that, I'll be able to fix it in no time." "And what if it's broken?" Lapis asked. "Then I am doomed." Wulfenite said with a smile. He turned around and focused on the board. Meanwhile, Lapis explored the other areas. "Okay, let's see..." Wulfenite said and he pressed the start button. A blue screen popped up. It glitched a bit. "Alright, It works! Not very good, but it works!" Wulfenite yelled in excitement. Steven knocked on the outside of the ship: "Wulfenite? Lapis? What's going on?" Wulfenite got outside and said: "The blueprints are in good shape! I'm gonna go light speed and collect all the needed parts to repair this ship. Can you get Lapis out while I go get the parts? Ok thanks!" Wulfenite flew off. "He sure is enthusiastic about this." Steven said; "I mean, I would be too if this ship was my only chance to save my friends and myself." Steven ran inside and yelled: "Lapis? You have to get out! Wulfenite is going to fix the ship!" Lapis exited the ship: "So the control panel still works?" "I guess, Wulfenite was in a hurry. He didn't tell me much." Steven said. Both gems went to sit on a rock near the ship. After a while, they saw an orange flash go around and through the ship. After every flash, the ship was in a slightly better shape. "Look at him go... Isn't he just perfect?" Lapis said as she stared at the orange flash. After a minute, the ship looked perfect. "Okay! Everyone aboard. It's time to save our friends!" Wulfenite said as he opened the door. Lapis and Steven came aboard. Wulfenite pushed the start button and the ship took off. "Okay, we'll be there in no time." Wulfenite said. Steven looked nervously at the ground. "Oh man. How is this going to end?" Wulfenite saw Steven and read his facial expression: "What's wrong, Steven?" "I'm just so nervous. Are we going to make it out okay?" "You know what keeps me going? That star on your shirt. I may not have one yet, but I too am a crystal gem and the crystal gems never give up! So neither should you. Isn't that right, Lapis?" Wulfenite asked. "Yeah sure whatever." Lapis said. Steven looked at Lapis and then back at Wulfenite. "Hehe, she's nervous too. Trust me, I know her." Wulfenite said nervously.
After a long while, the ship neared it's destination. "There it is. Homeworld." Wulfenite said. He was very nervous. This could be his final day of being alive. "This is it. Don't worry, we won't let your legacy end here. Ultranite won't win this." Steven said. Suddenly, an error appeared on the screen. "What is this?" Lapis asked. "One of the engines gave out!" Wulfenite said. "Is that bad?" Steven asked worried. "That means we're going to crash!" Wulfenite said. He quickly searched for a nearby place to land. He opened the map and looked around. He finally found a place to land before the ship crashed. "There's a garden nearby. It used to be Pink's, but it's deserted now. We can land there and still be off radar. As long as we destroy the communication devices." Wulfenite explained. Lapis punched a hole in the control panel. "That'll do. Good work." Wulfenite said; "Okay, brace yourself. We're gonna land next to this glass dome. Let's hope it still contains oxygen so that Steven will survive, because that's priority number one." Wulfenite said. Lapis grabbed Steven and held him tightly against her. Wulfenite yanked the steering mechanism up and landed softly on the ground. "Okay, crisis averted. Let's get to that garden." Wulfenite said. Lapis let go of Steven and Steven bubbled himself. Wulfenite opened the door and the gems left the ship. "So Pink had a garden?" Lapis asked. "Yeah, she was there when Blue, Yellow and I called her to let her know that she could have her own colony. She seemed so happy." Wulfenite looked at the garden; "I don't think she ever returned to this place ever since she got earth. It doesn't look as colorful as I remember." Wulfenite pushed Steven's bubble towards the dome. "Did you know about this, little man?" Wulfenite asked Steven. "No, I don't know that much about mom yet. That's why your stories are always so entertaining. You also have a good storytelling voice." Steven said. Lapis nodded in agreement. The gems neared the eastern wall of the garden. "Okay, we need to dig a tunnel." Wulfenite said; "When we're halfway, we need to close the exit and then open the garden side. Then, Steven needs to check if there's oxygen. If so, we can safely rest in the garden." "Sounds like a plan. Leave the digging to me." Lapis said. She summoned a pair of water arms and started digging. "Also, remember to stay quiet. We might never know who might be following us. I don't want to take any chances with Ultranite." Wulfenite said. Steven and Lapis both nodded. "I'm coming for you, Ultranite." Wulfenite whispered to himself; "I hope you're ready."
